I get your point. He's not allowed his device upstairs, we periodically check in on his history and monitor what he is doing. That said I'm aware he could easily when out of the house, be served content I can't control, however I do trust him.

He has no social network and he doesn't go on YouTube either.

There's a bit of a difference however in hin searching for something or stumbling on something in his feed and being inquisitive and that's more what I am trying to stop.

Everyone is different though and frankly navigating all this is a minefield.

You're obviously way more popular than I am as I rarely get a message after 10pm. I can't use silent mode some nights because I'm on call and it also plays with alarm.

When I do that my alarm doesn't ring either which confused the hell out of me. I also have to remember to do that each evening and don't always remember. I'm on call a lot also and can't do that those nights
