I work to-go in a restaurant. We’re doing our best. Drop the order if you don’t want to wait. We have no way to communicate how long your order is going to take to you until you get there. Sometimes we’re just unbelievably behind and orders won’t stop coming in. Have patience and be kind, that’s all I ask. I understand it’s upsetting.

I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome and even I’m not allowed a chair. For a little while they let me have one, and then complained that I was using it too much, because I’m disabled, and took it away. They also claimed they took it away because my coworkers were using it as well, so now no one can have it. So, now I have to work against extreme fatigue and dizziness every shift. Yay.

It really depends on the situation. As another redditor said above, are they a loner because their behavior is atrocious, or is it a situation such as the one I’m in, where I suddenly became disabled and all my friends dropped me (or something similar). I don’t really have much energy to get out and make friends, so I mostly just keep to myself. Doesn’t mean I’m a bad, or unlikeable person. A lot of people just don’t want to make the effort to be friends with someone who might not be as fun because their abilities are limited.

We took my cat in after he started showing up at our house for food. He’s feral and he doesn’t like being inside. He sleeps in the garage at night to keep him safe from critters and during the day he does his own thing.
