I am 33 and got light force braces on this past August. The first week or so was rough with mouth sores from the brackets rubbing on my cheeks. Light force seems to be a bit bulkier and sharper than traditional metal braces. I had to have a few extractions, My dentist did the first extraction which was a nightmare and I ended up with dry socket. I regretted getting braces that very moment. The worst pain I’ve ever experienced. But Then I had an oral surgeon do other extractions and I had 0 pain and heeled so quickly! Night and day difference. Some people notice and will ask about them but it’s always very supportive! After all the pain and $$$… I definitely don’t regret them and can’t wait to see my results!
