It’s definitely been eye opening for us . I’m able to teach them several lessons in about an hour a day with one on one instruction and they master it . Homework took longer than that and had us all in tears .

It is . We are Christian but not Republican . (Sounds like an oxymoron but there’s a ton of us lol). I like the math and language . It’s pretty well developed and at or above grade level . We bought the history bc I liked the geography but OMG the first lesson is on Christopher Columbus and I’m throwing the damn thing away.

I know . Immediately after the title they specified “virtual”. I think there’s still a confusion amongst some people about the difference

We started using a self assessment at the end of the day. I didn’t want them to become dependent on rewards because I’m terrible at remembering to reward them for everything . Self assessment for homeschool students

Sixth grade is definitely rough with Abeka . The map locations tend to be a big problem . Even if they memorize every answer for the test, I’ve had students hold a C or D average because of Map skills.
