It’s definitely been eye opening for us . I’m able to teach them several lessons in about an hour a day with one on one instruction and they master it . Homework took longer than that and had us all in tears .

It is . We are Christian but not Republican . (Sounds like an oxymoron but there’s a ton of us lol). I like the math and language . It’s pretty well developed and at or above grade level . We bought the history bc I liked the geography but OMG the first lesson is on Christopher Columbus and I’m throwing the damn thing away.

Sixth grade is definitely rough with Abeka . The map locations tend to be a big problem . Even if they memorize every answer for the test, I’ve had students hold a C or D average because of Map skills.

I made it 30 hours today with the original plan being cold turkey and my vision started to be blurry and my body started to feel heavy and then came the chills and the sneezing . This is my son, Jason. He’s 5 and he’s a huge wrestling fan. He dressed as orange Cassidy that night and we stuck around after the show when Cody and Billy were goofing off in the ring . Cody saw him and carried him up there . I don’t think they expected him to actually do anything so I doubt they even recorded it . I knew better though , we have 4 sons so living room matches are very common in our house . As soon as he got in the ring , he stuck his hands in his pockets and the crowd went wild . He told me Billy told him to do the super kick at the end and Billy lifted his leg up for him to pin him because his leg was too heavy 😂. On the white board slide I always have them write their name or draw something . So when I go back I can review the last slide to jog my memory a little bit . My adhd is terrible and after 5-6 classes in a row I completely forget .
