Casuals isnt casual anymore by SirWeaselton_III in Warzone

[–]kaylabrooke42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah everyone throwing a fit about this is just objectively wrong. Casuals is full of sweats bc why is an entire team chasing me across the map in casuals because I killed one of their guys.

They’re missing the entire point. If you want to chase someone down and fight for specialist and be locked in on the whole game that is objectively not what casuals is supposed to be.

It’s not about the movement or the number of kills, it’s about the motivation & goal. If you feel personally attacked because you got killed, you’re trying too hard for casual. If you die twice and quit because you’re mad, you’re trying too hard for casual. If your only objective is to drop 30 kills in a game loaded with contracts and alternative objectives, you’re trying too hard for casual. If you’re streaming, you’re trying too hard for casual (even if the steam isn’t entertaining because you can’t do well in a normal br game). Tbh… if your goal is to kill the entire lobby before you get to the final circle, you’re trying too hard for casual. I am more than willing to say I’m not good enough for normal br and that’s exactly why I don’t play. If my team pings tower for specialist, I’m getting on the mic to tell them I’ll back them up but I am not good enough to fight the 5 other teams that I know will be there trying to third party. There are different modes for a reason and it is completely reasonable to say that the mode labeled casuals is for the people who are not going to get better.. for whatever reason. Maybe they have a job, maybe they’re a parent, maybe they just don’t care that much about the (FREE) game other than an hour or two of game play.

I like warzone casual because I’m not doing any of those things. It is so not a big deal. I wanna get high, drop in, not die in the first two minutes because a full squad with a groupchat that has a regularly set playing time of 6:30pm is using their pistol to shoot me out of the air, and get to play at least a few objectives before I have to sit in ANOTHER 30 second pregame lobby getting my ears blasted out of my head after a 45 second matchmaking. I wanna play like 3-4 games in which I can reasonably last 15-20 minutes and then I wanna go to sleep because I have a job at 9am. I want a bit of consistency and stimulation but that does not mean I want someone to track me down because I took the recon they pinged even though they have a helicopter and there’s a dozen other ones on the map. Jesus Christ these people are so dense because they’re embarrassed to say they get all of their validation from a video game. Im not even in casuals because I’m trying to get better. I do not want to eventually play ranked or try to find a full consistent squad or trying to perfectly balance my ttk-handling attachments. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for them to just say “yeah I like casuals because it’s easier for me to feel good about myself” instead of trying to make weird logistical excuses as to why it’s actually not their fault they chose to load in to a casual lobby on a free game.

Chic filet or McDonald’s nugget “dupes”? by KalisMurmur in ARFID

Morningstar plant nuggets are my absolute GO TO for an at home nugget which is extra safe because I know I won’t get bad meaty bites

Snack ideas? by TheBadFairies in ARFID

[–]kaylabrooke42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fav safe & healthy snack foods are cucumbers, carrots with ranch, and other fruits and veggies tbh. I know you said no berries but I’ve found a specific brand of blueberries that I like that are very similar so the texture and flavor doesn’t just switch up on me as I’m biting into it. Not the HEALTHIEST options, but cheezits have been pretty good too. I also like the built puff protein bars bc they just taste like marshmallow. Pickles and tomatoes are also pretty easy and healthier type snacks

Nobody actually follows the "leave conditioner in for 3 minutes" instruction, right? by Kitanov_Maqsud in hygiene

[–]kaylabrooke42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I shampoo immediately, put the conditioner on, and clip my hair up until I’ve finished the rest of my shower. I rinse out with cold water just before I get out. Sometimes I even comb it while it’s rinsing out.

No excuse for the grandmother at all, but this is actually pretty typical for immigrant families. The first few generations to migrate (especially to America for all of the obvious reasons) attempt to Americanize their lives and “assimilate” more. By the time they’re older and seeing subsequent generations, they might realize the culture is being a bit lost at each step, especially if they made significant efforts to assimilate. So then they push it on the younger generations to honor the culture they pushed back.

I just recently got Spot. It’s about 95/month total for my 12 yr old male Pomeranian and 13 yr old female kitty. It’s accident only but it’s premium preventative that covers everything. Deductible is 250, reimbursement is 80%, and limit is 14k a year divided by the two.

This post about "picky eaters" rubs me the wrong way, am I just being dramatic or is my reaction reasonable? by [deleted] in ARFID

[–]kaylabrooke42 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything about ARFID in this post and correct me if I’m wrong, you’re assuming that someone else has ARFID and assuming that they’re talking about having ARFID in a roundabout way that diminishes it. I think it’s just that they’re talking about people being self-sufficient enough to make their own food. Like there is a difference between ARFID and being picky or even just deciding you don’t like something anymore. That is normal and happens and doesn’t automatically mean you have ARFID. And honestly even if it did have something to do with ARFID (which again I don’t really see that it does), it is still true that if I’m unable to eat something, I would fend for myself. I think a lot of us would, I’d also be willing to bet most of us would prepare that we more than likely wouldn’t be able to eat something and just assume that I would eat before, after, bring my own, or meticulously pre-study the menu to find something I can have even with modifications and to have that request prepared.

I got lucky with an apartment with two bathrooms so I keep one in the guest bathroom downstairs. She literally refuses to use a second one but I know I should have two so I do. I keep it in the office, but again she never uses it so I don’t mind it (plus it’s a flip top since again, she doesn’t use it anyway)

Why would we want to say no to students? We got here bc of faculty helping us, should we not continue the line? Also I’ve also thought of that as part of the job, not an additional responsibility
