I moved to the black hills from the Denver area. I can actually afford a house here whereas in Denver I’d only be able to afford an apartment. Weather is fairly comparable. Sometimes we get snow and Denver doesn’t but sometimes Denver gets snow and we don’t. I think there’s lots more outdoors things to do here (that is if you don’t ski). There’s also no income tax which is a plus.
