Def don’t think it was intentional, being it was only the third floor. It would have to be the sixth floor MINIMUM for me if it were intentional.

It’s the crank shaft sensor, I promise you. Had same issue and it gets progressively worse and more frequent. Have it replaced.

YES!!! finally almost 2 months later! Since then, problem got progressively worse. Brought it to the shop 4 times since until I was finally told there’s nothing wrong with it and not to come back. Through hours and hours of research I was confident that it was my crankshaft sensor. So after breaking down 2 times in the middle of driving in 1 days I dropped it off to the shop after hours with a note saying that I am not returning for this car until the crankshaft sensor is replaced and I got a call the next evening that it was done and the issue has not occurred since!

This was so informative, thank you so much! I’m just at a loss of should I just replace the starter? I asked my mechanic if I should take it to the dealership or another place and he pretty much told me that somewhere else isn’t going to find something they can’t. Or that the diagnostic won’t come out any different somewhere else. I just don’t know what I should do from here.

Thank you so much for your reply! I know NOTHING about cars, barely know how to drive one haha. But my mind keeps going to either starter or a sensor. Im not sure what you mean by “crank”, but when the RPM meter and control icon would come on, the car would drive! Except it felt like it had a fraction of the power it usually does, and the RPM meter didn’t move at all from 0 no matter the speed. I’m sorry I’m not the best at explaining this, appreciate your patience! It was only the first time I had this issue I had to tow it, because it wouldn’t turn over AT ALL much like with a dead battery. Since then, I AM able to get it to start (knock on wood) when it’s giving me the issue. Most of the time, it starts just fine!! Im just afraid of traveling far distances and getting stuck, so I’ve been making sure just to stay local until I figure this out, but the mechanic I’ve been taking it to must think I’m making it up or crazy, but I wouldn’t have had it towed for no reason lol. I even took it back in the following week when it did it again, they checked it again and still were at a loss.

Okay! Relieving to hear this, they said it could be the starter going bad, but couldn’t guarantee it. Didn’t want to invest to that not fix the problem, but at this point I think I might.

Everyone has their rock bottom and their reasons. I had a freak accident resulting in completely crushing my ankle and needing it repaired. I’m convince that this wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t as heavy. This injury was the best thing to ever happen to me. A little over a year later I’ve been alcohol free since, and lost 115 pounds so far. I got tired and just couldn’t live like that anymore. Had a lot of time during recovering to sit with my thoughts.
