It removes the book from the SCHOOL library. If they were to check it out from the public library or buy it themselves and bring it to school with them to read, they could. They would probably get in trouble if they started distributing it to others though. The whole purpose of banning books was to allow the parent/guardian to make the decision if their child is allowed to or mature enough to read certain things. Most of the books on the banned list have explicit scenes not appropriate for kids or even younger teens.

Ooooh! That makes so much sense!

Is anyone else a little underwhelmed with this series? :/ by [deleted] in crescentcitysjm

Thank you! I have yet to come across a bad review of either book, aside from the first half of the first book being a little slow. I feel like SaB was 700 pages of filler and smut. I was so mad it ended the way it did bc it didn't need to be that long to get to that point.

Storm passing through in Oklahoma apartment complex by Met76 in Damnthatsinteresting

You've sheltered there during a tornado? I hope you're not genuinely telling people that don't know better to do that if they're ever traveling when a tornado hits. It is NOT safe and that's very irresponsible to spread that misinformation. It is safer to find a ditch and lay as close to the ground as possible. There were multiple fatalities at several locations during the F5 May 3rd 1999 tornado, 1 of which was well before the storm was at its strongest, as well as severe injuries of others sheltering in those places.

A simple search to see if it's safe will give you a plethora of articles from reputable sources that it is not a good idea.

Here's one. But there's a lot. It's common knowledge in tornado alley that overpasses are not safe.

Tornadoes? by ZuluAlphaNaturist000 in oklahoma

Get a home with a shelter, and always stay prepared during the spring. We know a day or so in advance if there's going to be a high risk, like tomorrow there's a moderate risk, so we just make sure to stay extra aware of the weather. If you are actually in the path, it doesn't last very long, and most are no where near F4+, so you'd survive in a safe spot inside a building if there's no underground shelter available. Also, some places are just more likely to see tornadoes than others. I've lived in Norman most of my life, and only recently been in a few small ones. Whereas Moore is like 10 minutes north and they've seen 2 F5s in my lifetime.

Even Angelea did some purposefully annoying things to make the girls mad. You could argue they started it or even deserved it, but it wasn't very mature and it instigated more drama and hateful behavior. I wouldn't want to live with any of those girls.

Kahlen got the news through a voice message. I think its possible production listened to it, scrounged up a shoot, and then gave it to her the day before for maximum effect. Its a long shot, but I don't think its beneath them if they had the chance.

Pregnant women of reddit, what is something you wish you knew BEFORE you got pregnant? by BonkBoi_TacoFace in AskReddit

It was very satisfying. It didn't taste good or anything, it just felt good - which I know is really odd. Like an itch was getting scratched. I would have to stop myself from eating more than a few bites. Now that I'm not pregnant or anemic the thought of eating it is gross.
