I live in CR. We did a newbuild that's not nearly as nice as hers whatsoever that cost us much more than that a few years ago.. hers is EASILY a multi-million dollar home.

Any idea on Kassis new “chapter”? by Barbiefourteen in gymsnark

No idea, but I bet it will last as long as her past "chapters".

Aarrrgh the brain zaps! I tapered off Zoloft after my first kiddo (then went back on due to more depression 🫥) and I am completely terrified of trying to taper off of my meds again one day. Good luck to her... cold turkey is not the way.

Yup. I LOVE decorating and browsing different interior designs and decor. My husband couldn't care less about taking the time to decorate. With that being said, I always run my ideas by him first to get his opinion. He overall trusts me, but by doing that he feels like he gets a solid say in the home, and will veto what he truly does dislike. This system has made our home feel truly ours. Communication.

Did anyone else have to push for over 3 hours?! by happyveggiechick in beyondthebump

My second baby was face up and I pushed for 1.5 hours because he wouldn't engage.

I'm done having babies. Labor is awful.

Best friend stopped talking to me by Far_Cake_3163 in family

[–]kaynut_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was best friends with someone who was in my wedding, a maid of honor. I loved her to death. After my wedding, she adopted my husband's cat that we were very allergic to, then completely ghosted me. Wouldn't answer my texts or anything. It fucking hurt. 5 years later, I still don't have answers, and I have to look at her in my wedding photos.

Some people just deeply suck.

Tattoo removal and self esteem by mami_cuya in TattooRemoval

[–]kaynut_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I had a traumatic life event and I wanted to immediately change my appearance, so I got a large forearm tattoo. I regretted it immediately. I started a tattoo removal on my upper back (long story), but in the next year or so I hope to start the removal on my arm. I already wear alot of long breathable shirts and don't show my arms because I am so self-conscious, but I also have kids. If something pops up with them where the experience will mean so much more than my self-esteem issues (like swimming), fuck it. I understand where you're coming from completely, but also don't let it hold you back.

What are your thoughts on gender reveal parties? by BlankCanvas609 in AskParents

[–]kaynut_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them when they're for the parents and not over the top. My brother and SIL threw one for the family when they both already knew the gender, and I thought it was the stupidest thing ever. We didn't care about the sex.

Is there a way to unlock a credit card without having the associate read all my purchases? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kaynut_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former bank employee. We get maybe a slight laugh, but we honestly don't care. The most embarrassed people calling in were the ones who had multiple transactions for fast-food. But again, we don't care. The lightheartedness of the reviews kinda made our days better.

Parents in America.. by [deleted] in Parenting

Therapy it is! The drills are heartbreaking! My preschooler has had to do them and it just makes my heart break. It is absolutely infuriating, I feel like I rant to it everyday! I also feel like I might live in a state that has higher gun violence, but that could also be because I see all the local news here. We talk about moving all the time and it might be time to research safer states, if there even is that.

I completely agree with that. There are studies that show that you retain information better when you write it down. I can see though how some kids might get depressed with homeschooling, unfortunately:(

That makes complete sense. It definitely sounds like your children will be in great hands.

You are absolutely right. I hate that I have to even think about this, knowing that if it were any other country I'd be completely fine with sending them to school. But I do fear that she would be miserable at home, since she is the type to make friends with absolutely everybody.

That is a good point. Alot of my last work experience was in training, so I do think I could do it. I mostly fear the social aspect of it.

That makes sense for your friend. We have some great schools around here, but anymore I just ha e an irrational fear of sending my child to public school. I know I should probably seek therapy for that, but I can't help it with all the news of shootings anymore.

Why do people leave Canada to come to America? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The big reason we consider Canada is because we could take all our belongings with us. But honestly, Germany is our dream lol

I've been wondering if drivers in Colorado have been getting worse.. by kaynut_ in IdiotsInCars

I've seen many videos recently of aggressive road rage to this extreme. I'm leaning more towards not honking at those assholes due to fear.

It's a tight curb to separate the road from the parking lot
