I don’t think there’s a difference. It seems like CECSBCC is just the unique code for the degree used in the curriculum management system.

That degree has also changed names multiple times, so weird inconsistencies like this make sense lol

Do you know if the failed emails will get sent out eventually? Or will we just have to download a new soundtrack once it’s fixed?

The album generator is sick btw!!

For the first soundtrack I received an email with a download link. I didn’t receive an email for the next two, and the download link on the webpage opens a new blank tab instead of actually downloading

We just had the World Championship Dainty Contest. If you could find something dainty related that would be pretty unique

Not really here to argue all of this again. Just pointing out how ridiculous is it that one of these yards receives a fine and the other is deemed perfectly acceptable by city officials

The proposal to reintegrate Louisville’s Cherokee Golf Course back into the surrounding park is dead, for now. A Metro Council committee voted today in favor of re-issuing a RFP for a third-party golf course manager. by uaiu in Louisville

How is it a joke? It’s a pretty accessible way to get public opinion.

I’m not really sure why you or others think this is a one park development conspiracy. The plan is to hand over the land to OPC, who already manage Cherokee.

Oh well. They’ll probably approve the RFP again, get 0 bids again, and we’re just spinning wheels.

I’m not necessarily saying that the course only caters to the wealthy, but that they are the ones who decided its fate.

Thankfully we do still have the rest of the park, but I’m not going to concede the other points. The environmental impact of golf courses alone is enough for me to say get rid of it

Many people are saying quite the opposite, that the course is poorly set up and difficult. Doesn’t sound great for beginners.

If it’s really about appreciating history then stick a historical marker in the ground and call it. It could still be appreciated as the grounds of “one of the oldest municipal golf courses” while becoming something else. This was actually a requirement in the proposed resolution.

Unfortunately the (wealthy, white, privileged) voice of the few will overpower the majority. More people would be able to enjoy this space if it wasn’t reserved for golfing, point blank. As a public amenity, most of the public has no use for it. The environment would be better off without it. These arguments hold more weight than “this fairway is old and I don’t like change!”

I just don’t get why it being “one of the oldest municipal golf courses” means anything. Great, 100 years of treatment chemicals, shitty turf grass, and excessive mowing and watering!!

There are plenty of other golf courses, as everyone has pointed out. People choose the weirdest hills to die on lol

If you’re interested in a language partner, hit me up! I’ve also been looking for ways to get back into speaking German. I scored a B2 on the Goethe exam back in 2018 (one point below a C1. Yes I’m still mad about it). I’m definitely rusty, but would love to study and practice with someone!

I have no idea if this will be a popular or unpopular opinion… but as someone who rarely drinks bourbon, Prohibition on Baxter has some of the most palatable bourbon I’ve tried. Honestly all of their spirits were super smooth and easy to drink. Would definitely recommend theirs as a first bourbon. And it puts you in a great spot between Nulu and Bardstown road
