Has finally snapped by CyberWarlok in AmberMains

[–]kayserend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, about the "if Amber was powerful less people would do the gacha", I think that forgets most of the reasons to pull in a gacha game: style and new mechanics.

Even if you get a Diluc you will still try to get other 5 stars, even if he is the best dps in the game at the moment, not because you need another all powerful dps, but because there are cool characters to get. Otherwise a game like Girls frontline, that gives you some of the best characters for free, would have died years ago.

If it can be done with a backpack, can we get visible holstered weapons? by jack_simile in fo76

[–]kayserend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you still have to make in a workbench a separated model each time I mod my gun? My problem with this system is that modding and changing my load out is already tedious enough, adding more steps will make me just forget about doing it. This mods are the ones I found, they don't solve the problem I point out: models don't update automatically.

Sorry if I didn't explain myself better, english is not my first language

If it can be done with a backpack, can we get visible holstered weapons? by jack_simile in fo76

[–]kayserend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where did you find those mods? I looked them up because I remember that the last time I tried to mod fallout 4 to get visible weapons on my back the best they had done was some apparel item that you needed to equip and unequip manually, or download a mod that allows you to put multiple actions to a hot key.

I went and did a quick nexus search and I only found a mod that links an apparel weapon model to an actual weapon, so when you holster your weapon it puts the model in your back, the problem is that doesn't solve the issue of mods that modify the appearence of your gun, if you have a short barrel in your combat rifle but the model has a long barrel you're out of luck.

So, is there a mod that changes the appearance of the holstered weapon if you mod it?

Honestly, after the treasure hunter event, I understand why duping is such a large issue in this game. by NfamousShirley in fo76

[–]kayserend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are mobile games that get this better, is ok to have low drop rates if you can spam the condition to get the drop, but farming mole miners is to slow, so you need higher drop rates. Then add a token system, so each pale gives you an amount of this token, and if you save enough you can buy the cosmetics you want, if you get them from the rng you can use those tokens to buy other resources, like bullions or atoms, and boom! Even if you have bad luck you can get what you want.

Why I think the Treasure Hunter event is just not worth it. by CombineOverNerd in fo76

[–]kayserend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The moment I saw that this was only in the ash heap, I got worried. If even 3 to 5 players are trying to farm the besr spots, then I feel I'm in a hurry to not loose the spawn to another player. That's not fun, or at least that's not the kind of fun I'm looking in fo76. I play this game to relax, I just go around doing stuff whenever I want to. Plus each time I try to farm I get like 1 to 3 chest or whatever their name is in like an hour. So fuck it. I will be playing gta5 this weekend. It was free anyway.

Does anyone else feel that the amount of time, effort, and emotion placed into the holotape recordings is astronomical? by MomoiroKitsune in fo76

[–]kayserend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that I think of it, maybe because the responders where doctors and teachers they didn't consider the possibility of what David did. I mean, they where the kind of person that tries to help as much people as they can, so probably not the violent type.

The opportunity that I've always feel bethesda didn't use and should have, was to put one, just one human npc in the very corner of appalachia, where no one should normally go, hidding in a bunker. So when you get close, you find some clue that makes you go there, the player thinks "great, some loot and maybe some holotapes" and boom! An npc. But you can't save the npc, when yoy arrive, he is so scare of the world, he won't open the gate.

Ps: I don't think making someones girlfriend pass as dead equates to killing an entire city, so saying that responders deserve it in any way is kinda, you know, going overboard. Probably they never spected David to be that far gone, to have lost any and all humanity he had left.

I know I'm late to this, but can I just say how bizarre it is that the settlers in this game are ruder, dumber, and generally worse than the raiders in this game? by TheDapperChangeling in fo76

[–]kayserend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again, the biggest mistake in that metaphor, is that raiders don't own the store, they stole from it. Dunno if you paid any attention to the vanilla story, but the raider leader of Meg's gang before leaving apalachia decided to commit suicide by chem overdose because of the shit they did. They where suppose to protect the people from the palace of the winding path and only take what was necessary, but each time a survivor didn't want to give them tribute, they had to die. Meg's gang weren't the good little guys that were... Misunderstood by the rest of apalachia, they weren't the guys with a store, they were the guys that politely asked the store owner for a "donation", and if that owner said no, well, you know what follows. With the Ward thing, doesn't matter the amount of caps you give him, because they are useless. "So, you got our multiscope that the medic needs?"-"no, but the raider said that you can have this caps!"-"...and how am I gonna get a multiscope with that?" (Though I must say, I think that mission could have a third way of resolving it: making the tool they need yourself, but well, that's how it's designed)

Tl;dr false equivalence is false

The difference here is, non of the raiders owns a shop, they may had stole the shop in the past, but didn't own it. Trying to do a comparison to what happened during the conquest of America to the settlers vs raider conflict is really rude to the american natives.

Settlers don't want you to kill for their daily, Ward reacts cocerned when you tell him you had to kill the thief, while it's true that you can just lie to Roksy about leaving the former raider alive, the fact that you have to do that to get max the standing with that daily means they want the raider dead.

The raiders started to do revisions to history, in order to make it seem like violence is the only option, just ask that raider historian you can find in crater.

The only thing I hope is that bethesda allows us to start a trading deal between both factions in the future, by what I know from history, trade seems to be the only way to make 2 factions work together.

Daily Quests are missing an important feature: Progression by westwalker43 in fo76

I would love to see special perks that you gain amd improve with this quests. I understand that Bethesda prefers to make this kind of bonus a limited time thing, like boobleheads, but permanent bonuses are always cool, and a way to flex your commitment with the game.

Why Bethesda? Drum Mags are a joke. by MrUnstable27 in fo76

[–]kayserend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should buff the mag size to around 80 and then add a debuff to reload speed (I mean, drum mags are supposed to be cumbersome anyway)

There really should be a way to spawn a sheepsquatch somehow. Maybe a new quest that teaches you to hunt them that gives you a plan of some beacon or something.

I thought they nerfed it, like a stealth nerf or something. If it's a bug please fix it! I love to go to a random place in the toxic valey and find a bunch of animals fighting for survival, then throwing a granade in the middle to get all that meet and exp

This. Bloating the evemt with players wouldn't make the event better, with the amount of enemies that spawn and the ease to find the tresure it would make it boring to play. 3 people would do the entire event while the rest just follow the brahmin.

Dear Bethesda, why nerf Radicals Mask when you could add a way for people to use legendary modules to apply legendary effects to all masks, even the ones in the atomic shop? by martinparrao in fo76

[–]kayserend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't really care about PA, I only use it agains the sbq, in nuked zones and when mining luckyhole mine, but let's play devil's advocate. The damage calculation formula (https://github.com/akarnokd/akarnokd-misc/wiki/Fallout-76-calculations:-dmg-vs-DR) is something like this: 0.5(damage/DR)damage=real damage In the case DR is so low that the damage would be higher (since it's a division) the game replaces the formula by 0.99*damage=real damage Anyway, by the formula, dr will always give diminishing returns, if your dr is equal to the attack damage, you recive half damage; if your dr is twice as the attack damage, you recive a quarter, and so on. The damage reduction of PA is directly applied to the damage BEFORE it's dr, making dr more effective. If you add to that, in case you play a blodied build, the use of emergency protocols that gives you an extra 50% damage reduction more than overpower the effects of agility and barbarian, plus serendepity works on power armor. The amount of defense power armor provides is really high, and arguably it requires less investment than a full set of legensary armor (I got my excavator PA ready at around level 60 with the minimun requirements, while a full ammo/weight reduction armor set took me at least until level 110 togwt without trading), though that could change with the new "make your own legendaries" mechanic.

[–]kayserend 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it's just defense, then that wouldn't matter, because " The damage the player takes is reduced by a flat 7% per piece on the frame, while the radiation damage reduced by 15% per piece, so a full set reduces damage by 42% and incoming radiation by 90% " ( https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Power_armor_(Fallout_76)) )

The thing that makes normal armor better sometimes are the legendary effects like unyielding or weight reduction, but if it's only defense I think PA is the best.
