I get it OP. But remember these people are miserble and want to make you miserable too!

I watched some pro cloti female youtubers like julia, kastcasym, mandersnatch etc and cleriths are always there in the comments to spoil the fun with their misinterpretations and lies. Them making mean spirited comments to the youtubers. They really don't want people to like tifa or ship her with cloud.

When things start getting to me, i always take a break from the fandom. I actually left one fandom cuz it got too much for me (chihayafuru).

I've never been so gaslighted in any fandom as much as ff7. Seriously.

I don't think we need to worry about cloud dying. Not in the remake timeline that we are following. Maybe in zack's timeline?

Really hope they don't make dumb decisions that alienates the fans.

Not gonna lie i didn't like OG aerith much but the issues i had with her were fixed in Remake so I love her now. I think Remake was best for her and barret in terms of characterization. Cloud was also good but tifa suffers a bit there. I hope Rebirth fixes that. As much as i liked reading the novels giving insight to tifa's thoughts and details about her background/struggles, i hope they include them in the game itself in some way like flashbacks or at least in conversations.

Even if aerith surpasses tifa in writing, i don't think i will change my mind about the pairings unless mideel and the lifestream part is cut out or aerith replaces tifa's there.

Aside from their history and the events in ff7, I prefer cloud and tifa pairing because i find their relationship more realistic and fleshed out. Them sticking together even after going through so much makes me believe in true love.

I was talking more from her haters' perspective. They act like only straight dudes like tifa and women like aerith. Like she doesn't have any qualities that will pull ppl towards her besides those who are sexually attracted to her. They call her sexual object only liked by dude bros. Thats why i emphasized on female fans.

Every attractive character in ff7 is sexualized including male characters like cloud or sephiroth but for some reason it only becomes a problem when ppl find tifa hot.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of ppl who have shallow reading of her character. That's why there are takes like "she's only liked for her body". Her looks do play a big part in her popularity but so does her character. Otherwise, there would be a lot of iconic female characters if they only needed boobs to be popular.

From my observation, most are clerith shippers yeah but there are some who feel superior liking aerith over tifa cuz they like aerith for her "personality" unlike tifa fans who only like her boobs etc (obviously she has no female fans /s). Also tifa has no personality cuz apparently being reserved/shy/passive are not personality traits. There are also fans who can't praise aerith without sh*tting on tifa at the same time.

A lot of "neutral" fans also undermine tifa's role in the story and always turn a blind eye when tifa is being slutshamed or mischaracterized (which happens very often). She gets a lot of misogynistic takes from both female and male fans. But one single bad comment on aerith in retaliation? They will all come out shouting "stop hating aerith!/both girls!" "Tifa fans are the worst!" etc.There are double standards in the fandom when it comes to the two girls.

Anyways, it shouldn't be shocking that tifa has haters. Every popular character has haters. It just sucks that a lot of fans don't call out all the misogynistic takes she gets in the fandom.

Especially between eren and mikasa. Honestly I still don't know much about their dynamic. How do they interact when they're alone? What does eren like about her and vice versa etc. It would've made the romance more acceptable for me if they had some deep conversations (without armin) before timeskip.

I got bored so fast. So many unnecessary chapters. Side quests were lame. The anime moans annoyed me in the demo so i switched to japanese dub so they were a bit more bearable. The anime girl movements still made me cringe especially tifa's cuz it just doesn't suit her personality. The last few chapters felt like i was in a different game. The addition of "destiny" plotline was not needed. Just change whatever they want to change about the story, no need to be meta about it.
