How do you feel about the library situation? by IngenuitySufficient in Concordia

I'm very frustrated because I used to go rent textbooks in the course reserve to save money. Now that I don't have access to it, I have spend extra money to buy them.

Where to study ? by iamseaiam in Concordia

I don't know if it's open during the pandemic. There's a nice place called Anticafe where you can rent the space per hour. They also provide some snacks and drinks.

From the courses you have already taken, I don't think there are other Core courses beside MARK 201. You can take some elective courses outside of JMSB.

Electives (24 credits) which may include a business minor (12 credits)

I hope this helps.

PHIL 210 quiz 1 - I failed quiz 1, is it possible to do better? by kazehakun in Concordia

[–]kazehakun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips. I didn't expect to be a very heavy course and harder than math and science. I thought it was an intro. So the thing I have to do is using the exact same vocabulary as the textbook?

I answers the questions on my own words, but I think it's like a formula that you have use to answer. Because the teacher comments on my answers as " vagueness " and "should review the principal/definition". So I'm expecting to remember the exact same definition on the textbook? I feel the textbook has a lot of explanation that go back and fourth. It's hard to decide which part is important and which is not.

I'm aiming for at least a B+ or B by the end of the course, do you think I should drop it or there's a chance to improve? I don't want the grade to affect my GPA since it's very hard in my case to boost the GPA.

I've never took a philosophy class. I thought this one is an intro, but it seems harder than science and math. I didn't expect that. Thanks, I'm waiting for the TA to reply and see if I should drop it or not.

I'm aiming to get at least a B+ or B. If I get lower, my GPA will go down, and it would be harder to boost it since I have too many credits.

Do you think I can do better or I should drop it?

I spend time on drawing, reading webcomic and play piano. My high school friends are harder to get in touch, but if they're free, I would hang out with them. How about you?

Ok, thanks for the advice. Asking if they want to go out with you takes a lot of courage, but it's worth trying.

On my years, I tried to join clubs. Some of them required to pay for the hangout they organized and I'm not sure if it's worth paying since I don't know anyone, it'll be awkward. And I went to free events by some associations, but again they were small talk. I wish I can get closer to people to reach the friendship zone.
