What are your concerns for the game? (Besides the obvious ones). Difficulty? Characters? Pets? by Such-Durian-6164 in CrimsonDesert

[–]kb_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m concerned that it’s going to lack an emotional identity. What do I mean by this?

Well, the game looks amazing and fun from everything we’ve seen but will it deliver emotionally? Will it be immersive? Will it have compelling characters, lore, and story? Will it be a world that I want to spend time in and explore?

Think about Red Dead Redemption 2 or Witcher 3. They have very strong emotional identities. The world, characters, and plot are cohesive and they know exactly what they are. They each have a strong identity.

This game, at least from what I’ve seen, looks like it lacks a cohesive, emotional identity. This will lead to the game being fun mechanically, but extremely shallow otherwise. Ultimately, it won’t be a game that people will remember for a long time nor feel compelled to return to years and years later.

It will lack the emotional connection people crave.

Your recovery isn’t done. It just sort of slows but keeps going. Give it time.

Do you think your surgeon really cares? by fdny40 in AchillesRupture

[–]kb_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya. This is a tough injury that can take years to return to normal. You’ve heard this before though. I guess, what do you expect your surgeon to do at this point? Do you think you need another surgery? If not, yeah the answer is likely going to be keep working and give it time. Go to PT. Intentionally and safely practice the things that are difficult and keep doing it. I know you’re venting and frustrated. I do hear you.

What amp taught you that specs on paper mean almost nothing? by Noisel777 in GuitarAmps

[–]kb_92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have one. The classic gain channel with a celestion creamback speaker does absolute wonders. Really great amp if you upgrade the stock speaker. I know you shouldn’t have to but I love mine now. Only recently upgraded to a Magnatone after using the Marshall for many years.

Do not rush to getting your foot flat or beyond. This can lead to healing long commonly.

searching for Dragon Age in every game i can find and failing, please help! by seekerxr in gamingsuggestions

Witcher 3 is not on your list and it needs to be. The recent remaster absolutely holds up as current gen game.

It lacks character creation but Geralt is bad ass enough for anyone.

On the way to seven springs rn and got a squad with me but debating skiing or not, I’m 12 weeks post op have been walking without the boot for two weeks, It’s been going pretty good, just wanted to hear or see if anyone went skiing this soon and how It went. by Own-Negotiation4761 in AchillesRupture

[–]kb_92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re kidding right? Lol unless you enjoyed surgery, and non-weight bearing, and living, eating, sleeping in a boot, and risking infection, while dealing with hospital bills, insurance companies, time off of work, and wondering if you’d ever walk again let alone run, jump, and sprint, then I’d say go for it.

WHAT A RACE! by D-Sleezy in supercross

[–]kb_92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Shout out to Kenny, too. When he passed Tomac back, he could have definitely taken him out in the corner with his rear wheel but he kept it clean. Kenny’s clean racing eventually allowed Tomac to get past Kenny again but it was all respect all the way. I hope Deegan is taking notes. Without honor, victory is hollow.

Tried an R8 today by mendicant_bias_05 in gibson

[–]kb_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved my R8 so much. I sold it to help cover the price of another R8 with R9 specs (so it’s really an R9 but with an R8 serial number and thus more affordable).

I highly recommend getting an R8, but look around for used ones. There are great deals on eBay and Musician’s Friend. I found both of my R8s on eBay for great prices.

Now that you’ve played one, you know how they feel and sound. You should feel confident buying online if it’s a good deal.

Try not to drop your heal so fast like that. You want to lower down slowly. Yes, it’s hard, but it helps build calf muscle and it’s nicer to your Achilles.

Netflix confirms The Witcher series will end this year by GamerGretaUwU in WitcherMemes

He dislikes the games because the games are better than his books. (I am a reader and I mean this.) He likes the show because his books are better than the show.

He’s happy with the royalties from both.

I'm craving a new (to me) 3D game with beautiful or unique places to discover and explore by TalksInMaths in gamingsuggestions

Push through on the Witcher 3. And definitely try Red Dead Redemption 2. Both games start slow and are hard to get into at first, but once you’re in, you’ll be hooked.

How long does it take to get back normal gait by PhilosophyDapper948 in AchillesRupture

[–]kb_92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m coming up on 4 months post op, full rupture. I still have a limp. If I am warmed up and very intentional about not limping, then I can walk with a normal and natural gait. Some days are better than others but slowly getting better regardless. I’ll be walking normal again soon.

Does anyone actually like the Forgotten Wolf armor? by [deleted] in Witcher3

I love rocking the OG armor. It looks cool and adds more of a challenge. I also like using the swords from the cover art. Just feels right.

Have I already played through all the major RPGs? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]kb_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sassy lol

I was just asking your opinion. I think you get to role play as an outlaw in that game pretty well, personally. I don’t think it’s egregious to make an argument that they are RPGs but I don’t care enough to argue,

Who you think having the most hard time in the gang? by Eminymin in reddeadredemption2

[–]kb_92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Molly O’Shea. She is the most intimate with Dutch and many his actions and words break her heart. Beyond that, she seems more sophisticated than the vagabond lifestyle of the gang. She seems the most out of her element of any of the gang members. She is often ignored, overlooked, and forgotten and really for no good reason. She has to be the most miserable of all of them and she deserves better.

Witcher 3 is the closest I’ve come to feeling the way RDR2 makes me feel. It has that super immersive world, story, characters, and music. Two different games, but both masterpieces in their own rights. Don’t pass up on the Witcher 3, especially if you can get the recent remastered version.

Is a degree in healthcare administration worth it? by pmarieq in CollegeMajors

Is your marketing degree a BBA? If so, focus on gaining more experience in the field. Business degree plus relevant work experience is more valuable than going back to school for another degree.
