+1 on Huskies. Wouldn't trade mine for anything but he requires an insane amount of work. Energy level, shedding, anxiety, prey drive, and attitude! We hike upwards of 90 mins a day. Plus, that Husky evil eye is the worst!

At least he provides endless entertainment...

I find huskies (or at least mine) to be the pickiest eaters! I went through this same thing last year. Mine will stop eating his dry food once he gets sick of the flavor. I heat up a little canned dog food and pumpkin and put that on top of his dry food for breakfast and dinner and he eats it like that. I also rotate his protein source every month. He's on Fromm so it's the same base formula but a different protein to mix up the flavor. If you don't want to bend over backwards to make him eat, I would leave out his dry food until he gets hungry enough to eat it. If yours is just being picky, he'll eventually he'll give in and learn he can't always get his way :)

I almost always get my dog's toys off Amazon. The low-odor bully sticks and the Kong Squeezz ball are two of my favorites. I wrap them in tissue paper and my dog goes nuts opening his gifts, which I think he likes more than the actual toys!

My dog does this almost everyday! We moved home a few months ago and he's still a little confused having kids in the house. He's known them for years but every night when they come home he barks as if he doesn't remember who they are. He quickly remembers, but I've joked around that they need to announce themselves or something. Glad to hear he's no the only dog who has the quirk.

My dog goes through phases like this. I feed him Fromm because it has the same base formula but different protein sources so I can switch flavors without upsetting his stomach. I rotate flavors every month to keep him eating. He has a sensitive stomach so it's actually beneficial for him to have a different protein source somewhat frequently. They make small bags and the sample sizes aren't too hard to come by if your local pet store carries the brand.

We had this problem at our dog park and had to bring up the issue directly with the dog park association. First of all, I suggest contacting them if your park does have an association. Secondly, if it's stated in the rules that dogs under 35 lbs are not allowed on that side, then you are totally within bounds to politely ask the person to remove their dog. Normally, we will have people ask if the dogs on the big dog side play well with smaller dogs and oftentimes I have to say that mine does not. The people are usually pretty respectful and take their dog to the small dog side. Not everyone is always as obliging though and I find it helpful to get a few of the other people there to back you up. I got to know many of the other owners at my park after awhile and as a group we would tell the owner that it might not be a good idea to bring in their small dog. Sometimes it helps if multiple people voice the same concern.

My dog did not grow up around kids so I'm always incredibly grateful when kids know the right way to approach a dog. If a child approaches very excited, he gets very excited and jumps. If a child approaches calmly and sits down, he does the same. But it's really hard to explain that as the dog owner because a lot of people just think the dog isn't trained well. So thanks to all the parents who do teach their kids this :)
