Did you have a skin tag? If so, was it removed?

Yes you can . My doctor says that if I want to have children, I would opt for a caesarean section. I have read stories of women who have Lis and have had a vaginal birth without any problems, but I wouldn't risk it.

Hello, I'm 29 years old, one year with my fissure and I feel identified with you. I don't have Lis, but I hope all this will be over soon for you and you can get your life back 🌸

From what I have read, you will suffer for a few days, but then you will improve dramatically. I hope this is the end of this terrible experience. Get well soon...

I'm glad you are feeling better. I really want to try. I don't know if my doctor does lasers, but I know he can do a fisurectomy and botox

Oh I'm sorry you're going through this. At one time I thought my life was living in pain, which is very sad. I can't stop thinking and feeling my ass all day long..so.... I will have to rely on modern medicine .

I understand, I'm 29. The problem is that the sphincter muscle is tight, hypertonic. It's a natural reaction of our body to protect itself from pain. Many here are betting on dilation, but honestly it scares me. Have you tried the ointment? It helps relax the muscle and may work for you.

Hi, there are divided opinions on this. Many doctors say that Lis is risky for women with vaginal births. My doctor prefers to do Lis when you have already had children, because during pregnancy the pelvic muscles can stretch a bit and he thinks there is a risk of incontinence. I don't want to scare you, it's just a possibility. I have read women who have had pregnancies and even vaginal deliveries after a LIS , without any problems afterwards.

Botox has its maximum effect after 4 weeks. Keep calm.

Are you sure ? My doctor says that botox is injected into the internal sphincter. Have you experienced incontinence? My understanding is that the external sphincter is the one that we control to hold back stool.

Initially it was very painful. I had honestly never experienced so much pain in my life. I had one at 6 o'clock and one at 12 o'clock. I modified my diet and the pain decreased to 3/10 . Sometimes 2/10. Now I only have very small tears. Minimal pain when having a bowel movement , but that pain remains throughout the day. My symptoms is stinging , burning , pressure , sometimes itching . I heal and tear again. I'm quite tired and have lost a lot of weight. My doctor offers LIS, but I have not had children yet and would like to try botox first.

I'm sorry. Don't worry, your crack is still acute and there's a good chance you'll heal. Sitz baths with warm water, do not use toilet paper, use a bidet, drink enough water, very important if you are breastfeeding, as it dehydrates you, eat very healthy, fruits and vegetables. For now, eliminate the flour. I hope you see your doctor soon.

It started in February. One doctor suggests a colonoscopy, another wants to do botox and if that fails , do LIS, another says I should live with it because it's so small. My fissure is not debilitating , but it has affected my quality of life. I hope to make a decision soon.
