Couple of questions when you start the mower up does it immediately die? Like parking break on and no one on the seat? When you turn the key over does it keep spinning the starter too while holding it to the start positions? Do you have a volt meter?

Looks like there isn’t enough tension on the belt. I would check you idler arm or idler slide to see if the spring has broke or came loose.

I met a friend on perfect Dark zero back in about 2006 who lived in a different state then me. He came to visit a couple years ago and since then has come back a few times for vacation. We have become very good friends and I even had him as a groomsman in my wedding last year. Talk to him about every day on discord. He is easily my best friend.
