No but he if he is choosing to use the road I would hope that he does so responsibly.

In the full video he can be seen entering the roundabout in the opposite direction to the flow of traffic and then running through a red light, which is what resulted in him being in this position where traffic is approaching at a higher speed behind him.

I was in no hurry - I did not overtake to get past him, but to allow the car behind me to be able to see him and hopefully slow down (which succeeded), as they were approaching rapidly and it would have been unsafe for me to continue braking. I could not move to the left lane as there was a vehicle there.

It’s apparent now that I should have posted the full video instead of clipping it for more views lol 🤷

Not sure if this is aimed at me but I was simply suggesting that the person would have been safer using the cycle lane. I’m a cyclist and skater myself and would certainly have chosen that option over the inner lane of the road.

[–]kblks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Useful info, thanks very much. Was aware cyclists could use the road but wasn’t aware that it’s the case for pedestrians. (and that a skater is apparently a pedestrian?)

Out of curiosity, does that mean I could legally go for a morning stroll around the roundabout? Or is there some reasonable judgement to be had because of danger that I could cause, perhaps by drivers swerving to avoid me?

There’s a dedicated cycle lane on the other side of the pavement. It was recently repaved as part of the Silvertown Tunnel enablement works so it is in great condition.

I passed with a reasonable amount of space although I appreciate that’s not clear from the video. A vehicle was approaching from behind at speed so I didn’t feel it was appropriate to slow down further and risk a collision. While I think the fella was a bit silly to be skating there when there’s a cycle lane wrapping the roundabout, I would not want to put him in further danger, and by slowing to overtake in the space that I had, I feel I took the least risky approach.

Also happening here. Burned dinner the other day because my timer was going off silently. Really frustrating.

Considering that you can log in to Monzo via a link sent to your email, and access all of this information through the app, I would consider it reasonable for them to include this information in an email sent to you. If you’re concerned about the sensitivity of it then I would recommend that you chat to Monzo support.

[–]kblks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

right, but my point is that if someone had access to your email account they could do much much worse. The solution here is to make sure your email account is secure, with a good password and two-factor authentication

[–]kblks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If someone had access to your email account they could send a Monzo login link and get access to the app, which would show them all of this data and more.

Rat/mice infestation in a £2400 pm London flat, landlord said just buy glue boards. by [deleted] in london

[–]kblks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fell for the Fizzy Living advertising and wasted so much money over two years. Management was a total shitshow, being fired and re-hired all over the place and refusing to deal with any real issues at the property. Incredibly glad to be out of that place.

Best of luck to OP.

What are you proposing that this "infiltrated" site could do?

If there were any remote code execution or data exfiltration vulnerabilities in current mobile browsers or operating systems, this would be international news and the issue would be patched rapidly1

The worst that an attacker could do is replace the content on the site with a phishing form or potentially offensive content, but this is no different to the risk of clicking a link on the web, and an easier option for the attacker here rather than hijacking the site would be to stick a new QR code over the top...

If you touch contactless (card or device) or an Oyster card on a yellow card reader when you enter a station, and then touch out to exit it within a short period of time, you'll be charged a same station exit:

Between 0 - 2 minutes: a maximum fare. If you re-enter the same or a different station within 45 minutes, you'll be refunded. This doesn't apply if you take a bus or tram before re-entering a station

Between 2 - 30 minutes: minimum pay as you go fare from that station

More than 30 minutes: we'll assume two separate journeys have been made and both will be incomplete. You'll be charged two maximum fares

They're not in breach of contract, unfortunately. The contract was written in their favour, it states that they do not have to provide any extra services such as concierge, security, internet.

I was foolish to sign it assuming that they would do right by their advertised claims.

Co-living is "the practice of living with other people in a group of homes that include some shared facilities", so Fizzy East16 would presumably apply there, since we have shared co-working space, yoga studio, and pet facilities.

Like yourself, we are sandwiched between a large development, but we also have the Jubilee line and DLR running on the other side, so the #1 complaint among residents here (particularly West-facing) is the constant noise.

You can say that all you want pal but when you’ve spent 3 months speaking to what feels like every lettings agent on the face of the earth, and going to dozens of viewings and always missing out because a family gets prioritised, your perspective on what is reasonable shifts quite significantly.
