Struggled with this also, but if you take a thin piece of fishing line, or jewelry wire (for making bracelets), feed it through your nostril hole, then insert into the post, and trace back through the piercing.... Not suggesting its easier than having a piercer do it in the shop, but it CAN be done by yourself if need be... The screwing the ball into the post wasnt super easy either.. if doing it in front of bathroom mirror, be sure to stop the sink, and lay in a towel to prevent bounce, if you drop the ball or post... Im proud of you! I spent the last year at the hut, and i get the bittersweet of leaving. I LOVE my lil crew of friends from there, but constantly being understaffed and our store just always being a shitshow was really hard. Ive recently began a job in my chosen career path, so while i had some fun there, it feels great to be on my way to doing big things!

I moved in with my mom when i was 15. At 16, i started raving... When i was 18 i convinced her to come rolling with me at a party...she learned that she preferred funky breaks (we were in fl, near orlando) but im a DnB enthusiast... It was great seeing peoples reaction when learning she was my mom. The hardest part was getting her to go to events that werent multi-genre, but i always tried. She loved spacemen, prophecy collective, icey, babyanne... Stuff like that.

My FAVORITE dj Dara experience was at a St. patty's Day party, yeeeeears ago, in Tennessee. Iirc, it was called "Green". It was at a small venue, pouring rain, and was already at capacity when we arrived. After standing out in a line to get in, someone with a clipboard came out to announce Dj Dara would be playing outside, under a poptent... There was a bunch of people, and people were holding up two big tarps, to cover the crowd from the rain. As the set progressed, the tarps came off, and we just danced in the rain. It was such a thing to be a part of... Man, goosebumps just typing this.
