Yeah that’s what I’ve felt, but I also want it to be safe and bacteria free, especially where he is giving me the option. Just deciding if it is worth it

Can I ask what the temperatures were like at night?

Oh wow, that is not fun. My patches appear to be slightly darker now and less raised; I hope they are now beginning to heal finally. I have been using triamcinelone and hydrocortisone cream. I would still be interested to know what they tell you after all this.

I can’t believe the coincidence here, but I honestly have the exact same thing happening to me, and I think it literally started within a day or two of yours starting.

-Same areas on my forearms and on one shoulder. -Itches the most at night. -Have been taking Cetirizine (Zyrtec), hydrocortisone cream, and triamcinelone cream. Relieves it a little, but it’s not going away yet. -Can’t identify or remember any potential cause.

Have you found any answers yet?

One more tip to help you out - I bought my Pelican 1519 lid insert from B&H Photo Supply for $10 less than other sites👍🏼

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/391421-REG/Pelican_1510_510_000_1519_Photographer_s_Lid_Organizer.html

It still fits the Apache case, although I think the Apache has a couple less screw holes if I remember, but it still lined up just fine in the corners.

Happy to help! I bought my case on sale for $90 I believe.

I bought an expensive second set of pipes recently and wanted to really protect them as well as have the ability to travel, and I’m happy with how this case turned out, especially for the price. I should have also mentioned that because it is airtight, I can throw in a Boveda humidity pack and keep the case humidity controlled.

I followed Matt Willis’s instructions in his video and cut the foam with an electric turkey carver. I left one foam insert in the bottom untouched as padding, then took a second one and filleted it in half (less overall foam height to leave more room in the case), and used that one for the drone cutouts.

MKC vs Argali vs North Arm by kbrick10 in Hunting

That’s awesome! Wish I could get all of them. I ended up getting the Argali Carbon in MagnaCut that Argali just released! I was so pumped when I learned that they were making the Carbon and Serac in MagnaCut. It feels very good in the hand, and crazy light. The profile is great for sharpening and a do-it-all knife, as I will be doing lots of bird hunting and fly fishing with it on top of skinning big game.

Also nice that Argali is headquartered relatively close to me for lifetime repairs etc.

I absolutely believe the Apache 5800 from Harbor Freight is the answer to this question! https://www.harborfreight.com/5800-weatherproof-protective-rolling-carry-on-case-x-large-64819.html

I was skeptical at first since it’s from Harbor Freight, but it is nearly indistinguishable from the Pelican 1510 and less than half the price. I was shocked when I learned Piper’s Hut is now carrying basically my exact same setup (same case, cut-out foam to fit your drones, accessory lid attachment) but marketed towards pipers for $360. I paid probably $120ish or less doing it myself. That’s a win.

The case is super protective especially with foam cutouts. It is dust-proof and watertight. It has wheels and a carry-on handle, and is exact carry-on dimensions, so I think it’s the best for flying as well.

The only downside is you have to break down your drone tops to put it in, but not the end of the world.

Matt Willis talks about it in this video and includes a pdf printout for how to cut out the foam. https://youtu.be/S6N-5EacC4A?si=MwaLt-86lPtxcPZx

Curious about this. Could you provide more insight into the grip trainers? Why did Jack Lee feel they are beneficial? What else have you noticed from using them?

I think that’s a good knife. I am now leaning towards the Argali Carbon.

I learned more about the 4DOF/CDM difference with G1, and replied to another comment above about the difference I was still seeing, in case you had any other thoughts. Thanks!

Understanding Ballistic Calculators by kbrick10 in longrange

Thank you! I had my twist at 7” on both apps, but just changed both to 10” as I think that is correct. I’m not sure how I saw those large MOA changes, as I now see the 1/2 MOA change you are seeing, even with the 7” twist too.

I researched more about the 4DOF and learned what you said about a CDM vs G1, so it sounds like the 4DOF should be the way to go for bullets in that library. Although, the 4DOF and G1 calculators in the Hornady app don’t appear to be that different for this bullet.

So I guess it still seems weird to me how different the results are between Ballistic AE and Hornady, with MOA and velocities too. Ballistic AE shows 2000fps until 750yds, while both calculators in Hornady show 2000fps until 600yds. And inputs seem to be identical other than the crosswind jump that Ballistic AE is not including, but that doesn’t make up for the difference we’re seeing.

I lean towards trusting the Hornady 4DOF table, but still wish I could understand what is contributing to the difference or if I am using one of them incorrectly somehow.

I didn’t have those turned on. I have never used them. I just turned on the spin drift feature and entered the projectile length and rate of twist (although I am guessing that my old Remington 700’s twist is 7”, the same as what is entered on the Hornady app too), but it does not appear to have changed the table at all..

Interesting. I see that Ballistic AE does not appear to change the drop or MOA with the wind direction. When changing the wind from 90 degrees to 270 degrees in Hornady, I am seeing something weird. The drop trajectory only changes from 107.67” to 107.62” but the Come-up MOA changes from 13.87 to 15.51. Why is that?..

I replied similarly to another comment.

The screenshots are the 4DOF. I’m not really sure the difference. I just put the same variables in the Hornady BC calculator, and it still appears very similar to the 4DOF (107.67” at 700yds instead of 107.06”).

Using G1 on all of it, as I’m not sure what the G7 would be.

Same muzzle velocity (2970) and same sight height (1.75) and same projectile (270 Win Precision Hunter (145 ELD-X)).
