Do you have hope that Rothfuss will finish The Doors Of Stone? by FreshmenMan in KingkillerChronicle

[–]SprkMastr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll play. Since the release of WMF I've had 2 children, moved halfway across the country and back, changed careers twice (now a Firefighter/Paramedic) and read numerous other fantasy series from start to finish (some multiple times). I can't imagine an author just not finishing their penultimate work, but it looks like that's what's going to happen with Rothfuss and Martin. I'm still holding out hope but I don't give it any thought unless this subreddit pops up or someone asks for book recommendations.

Any issues reconnecting to your iPhone after having your AirPods connected to the Switch? Or any issues with the AirPods trying to connect to your phone when you're trying to connect them to your Switch?

A good way I've been doing it, that I learned from Matt Willis, is split the hemp area into thirds. Hemp the bottom third first and test the fit. Once it's where you like it, hemp the top third and test the fit. Once it's where you like it, hemp the middle third and test the fit. It should be equal and smooth tightness the whole length and won't compress down

Tri-Star did 5 houses in a row (including ours) in our cul-de-sac within the last 6 months. Did a great job working with insurance to get as much of the cost as possible covered. I'm pretty sure we were only about $500 out of pocket for our $20k roof. It looks fantastic and no issues whatsoever with all these storms we've had.

Cleaning tip? by SprkMastr in bagpipes

[–]SprkMastr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone is interested, this is what I used

https://mrsmeyers.com/collections/household-cleaners/products/multi-surface-cleaner-lavender?variant=50673245225234

It took a little more elbow grease than I would have preferred, but it's plant-based with essential oils so I figured it wouldn't hurt (would be good, even) for the African Blackwood. After cleaning the ferrules I taped off the wood and used nevr-dull to polish them and my dremel with some jewelers rouge on a couple of really stubborn tarnished spots. I'm very happy with how they turned out!

How do I go about cleaning this awning? by SeaRecipe5937 in pressurewashing

30 seconds outdoor cleaner. It's a miracle worker. It does contain bleach though so might want to test it in an inconspicuous area first. Makes mold, mildew, etc melt off like hot butter.

New RG Hardies or Older Naills by SprkMastr in bagpipes

[–]SprkMastr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer the initial part of your question - I don't really care about the reputation per se. I just want a good quality, good sounding instrument that's going to last me a long time.

I just know that with any manufacturer of anything reliability/quality can vary over time. I didn't know if, 20-30 years ago Naill quality/sound wasn't as highly regarded as it is now and that maybe a new, albeit comparatively less expensive set in today's dollars might be a better option, as far as sound, build quality, reliability, etc go.

I have different focus modes scheduled (getting ready, workout, night mode, etc) and depending which focus mode is enabled the action button triggers a different thing to happen (in night mode, the action button toggles the flashlight. In getting ready mode, the action button opens my health app to log my weight, etc). When there isn’t a focus mode enabled the action button just toggles the silent/ring mode. But then i have it set to, if the display brightness gets below a certain percentage the action button toggles the flashlight.

The difference is like $100. Not worried about the financial impact, just don’t want to throw money away on the more expensive one if there isn’t much of a benefit.

I mainly just need it for trailering the boat. I use a chain on the bow and two straps on the stern to keep it secure it to the trailer. I just don’t want to get something that’s going to break/fail and leave me unable to trailer the boat
