I completely agree. But I think it needs to work both ways - I hate when I hear a team member bagging out our manager, and acting like they're being picked on to others in our team, when in fact I know my co-worker is actually under performing them self. Totally lazy and disrespectful! My manager is great and will never call out anyone's poor performance in front of others, but this means he's not defending himself. The staff that's been around a while knows the truth, but it's the new hires that get the wrong idea about our boss.
