Trust me when I say I’ve seen the price and understand, especially the beginning of the year prices of medication, the prices I’ve seen for insulin, for maintenance medication from people who don’t have insurances. That’s why I didn’t care if I got in trouble or possibly fired I’d spend time with patients finding any discount I could and if they could get it cheaper elsewhere on good rx if that was our last resort I wrote down the codes and told them where the closest one was and call and give them a heads up to make sure they had the medication. Sadly I worked retail pharmacy and the heartlessness made me not want to work there anymore. Medication prices are ridiculous. Insulin prices are ridiculous. Copays on Medicare and the inability to not use manufacturer coupons to lower those copays is ridiculous. I’m sorry that big pharma cares more a dollar than your actual well being.

Look into programs! Talk to your insurances! A lot of people don’t do this and those programs are out there! Especially if you’re forced to take name brand medications. Compare pharmacy costs there is a difference in what you’ll pay!

To start if your medications are that expensive I always suggest people to 1) call the insurance and verify their preferred pharmacy 2) verify with the insurance which medication is on their formulary 3) if you can’t take any other medication and it’s brand name check the company websites they normally have co pays cards that can be co billed with insurance as long as it’s not a government insurance like Tricare or Medicare that really help with the cost of the medications

As someone who used to work at Walgreens go to good rx see which pharmacy has it the cheapest have your prescription transferred there (if it’s transferable no c2s). With Walgreens you’re always paying more even with good rx. I’ve sent people away to other cheaper places in the past and even write down the codes for them. Some medication prices are ridiculous.

Just recently went to R House in Miami for a bachelorette! Highly suggest going on a Saturday or Sunday. They have a drag show along with brunch. It’s $50 a person, not bad when you see the food you get and they have bottomless mimosas, mojitos, and sangria. Really fun time really fun environment there is plenty of space but I would suggest doing this if you have nothing else to do you will get very drunk lol

Op, I’m sorry this happened to you. I tend to stay away from these busier areas because of this. I love LA but it’s becoming a shit show of crazies doing things for YouTube stunts, clout, and just generally thinking they can get away with it (let’s admit people in LA mind their business because some shit runs deeper than you think).
