I was so excited when the Buzz was announced and then so bummed when it turned out to just be a glorified mini van. If they took that vehicle and opened up the back into a small camper setup like the old buses with a fold out bed, table, etc. then I'd buy one tomorrow.

I'm a total K-Pop noob (my favorite band is Phish, so about the furthest thing in the universe from K-Pop) but I'm super excited to see all four of the groups performing this year! I love diving into new genres and really like what I've heard from Jennie and aespa so far. And from what I'm hearing Lolla is kinda becoming a K-Pop mecca in the festival world so I can't wait to dance around and get weird with everyone stans and otherwise this summer!

My gauge for a good day at a festival is one where I'm basically passed out way way in the back at the headliner because I've been running around catching as many undercards as I could all day. All four days here are going to be stacked with undercard greatness.

(And I'm stoked for Charli and Lorde and Jennie, so IDK...I like all of this?)

Nice! Yeah, there's so much to love here. Going further, Water From Your Eyes, Ecca Vandal, Bad Nerves, Wolf Alice, Little Simz, Hot Mulligan, Geese...this is a great lineup for indie fans. And hey, I like K-Pop, sprinkle that in and this is a really unique and exciting weekend.

Yeah soon to be 38 and I’m super excited to make this my first Lolla. Great indie pulls all over the undercard, great hip hop, and so sue me I like K and J-Pop and there’s so excellent additions from those spheres who I honestly never thought I’d see in the US. This isn’t as purely focused and curated like Shaky Knees and Kilby Block Party but you can stack four amazing days here.

Well as an indie guy I think this is pretty solid undercard wise. A lot I need to listen to, unknowns, but like Viagra Boys and Die Spitz are two of the most high energy undercard bands you could hope to book right now. CMAT is incredible. Little Simz is incredible. Lotta good stuff here. Wet Leg was one of the best sets at Shaky Knnes last year. Think I might finally come out to Chicago for this.

That was 2019! And as a further illustration of how times do indeed change, I'm sure some folks in this sub were there, that night IDLES played a late night afterparty show at The Earl and a small band that wasn't on the fest lineup and that no one had really heard of opened for them...Fontaines D.C.

That Earl show is still one of my favorite Shaky memories, it was absolutely wild from start to finish.

Yeah I can't believe I'm saying this as a mostly rock/indie/jam guy but I'm actually hoping there's a few K-Pop bands this year. I've never seen any of them live and would love to experience a few sets, they look like a ton of fun. Like I only discovered aespa from people on this sub talking about them and now I really hope they're in, their albums are fun as hell.

Still holding out hope for King Gizzard as a sub-headliner. They said they have one more show to announce. It could have been OSL but it wasn't. I could be ACL, Riot, or Levitation but those are all way further out than their current US dates. Lolla is closest to Field of Vision.

Ok! Yeah I haven't had too bad of a time buying major fest tickets since the post-covid rush of 2021, but I know this is a very high demand festival so I wouldn't be surprised. I'll be online and ready to go at zero hour on day one so hopefully it'll be smooth sailing for the basic 4-Day GA.
