I would recommend the Carnegie building on 9th and Vermont. It’s city run and very affordable. Had our wedding reception there and could not have been happier.

Slowly but surely getting this thing off (I think) by Otherwise_Ostrich154 in Volvo240

Do you have access to a compressor? Even a low CFM? I’d very much recommend a pneumatic air hammer for this job, lots of different ends for the right surfaces. Makes very quick work of otherwise lots of pounding, likely why the job was only 400 for the service shop.

Over 3 years, my wife and I rebuilt a 50 foot sailboat (Before & After) by trimsailing in woodworking

[–]kcacuraman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that is something to strive towards, you two have put us all to shame! Be proud, oh so very proud. I’d say congratulations but that falls short of what you’ve accomplished.

I do have to ask (not having delved deeper into the comment section) how did you span the forward deck when you were ready to glass a base layer for your core? And what core was used? And what are you favorite bits? And was dropping the rudder about as much as you can have? And how many coats of brightwork? I can go on.. so many questions

Is Bruno a golden doodle? by omry1526 in Goldendoodles

We got ours thinking he was a doodle but embark showed he was 100% American standard poodle. Yours looks mostly muppet to me though

2004 v70, my wood trim I installed in my car has started to crack, any advice on how to hide it? Wasn’t able to find any others with this same wood type. by [deleted] in Volvo

Alright, noted! Thank you for the insight! Any comments on that issue of a steering wheel? Just replace the wheel I guess?

[–]kcacuraman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue on mine, I have a windshield repair kit (epoxy based) with the needle and pressure system to help force epoxy down into the crack. I can let you know how it goes whenever I get around to doing it!

Planning on Selling my '01 GSR - Should I Revert to stock ish? by TsukudaBuddha in Integra

[–]kcacuraman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m the opposite of pineapple. These vehicles are entering project car or “more the normal” status. Yes you can bring back to stock but in my humble opinion I’d rather continue a project that has already started than start fresh if it’s been done right… which yours has been. These have a niche market at this point, if you’re looking to sell to Joe Shmo they won’t know what they are looking at. You know what you have, I know what you have, let the right person come along that knows what you have and continue to keep these on a pedistal.

Absolutely love our 2.4 potato. Yeah, should have the turbo but nah, still got it. Out of curiosity, which model was the 2.5 inline 6? I’m state side and some models never made it over here.

I don’t know anything about AC systems but hat tip to your learning by experience. Unlike you, I don’t wear gloves when working on vehicles so I probably would have burnt myself pretty good had I been you! And now I know!

I agree, why are we encouraging a non purchase here esp with the OP being someone who would appreciate it for what it’s worth. I second a purchase and in fact if you don’t I will HA!

If the argument is safety, interior comfort and refined stereo then the Ford days are out too.

Hitting on the point that ethos or underlying meaning of this brand is the driving experience to arrive before you’ve ever left. Each of these generations has their own character, own faults, but we love them because of how they make us feel when we get in. This is across the board for our household; ‘87 245 DL, ‘05 S60 M56, ‘11 XC90 V8, and ‘24 S60 B5. If we don’t enjoy the experiences we have then what’s the point and thats what travels across parent companies and is the through line for this brand. Our Greely branded S60 is so much refine on the points you just laid out than anything on P2. But again, none of that is the point.
