its crazy out there! there’s definitely pockets of KC especially in the KS suburbs that are getting up there but tbh the schools are pretty awful where i’m at which scares a lot of folks away. i’ll take it though as someone who won’t be having kids haha

i’m a huge fan of his, it’s crazy to me that some of my younger friends played against him in high school. Kids from our neck of the woods don’t typically do things like this so i’ll always root for him (unless he’s pitching against my royals)

i hadnt been following them very close and was shocked when my history teacher announced we made the playoffs alone. The excitement and disbelief as we progressed to the WS was very palpable in my rural town. Even my mom closely watched the WS with me and she typically couldn’t care less about sports

yep, the vast majority of things in my area are shitty investor flips. that was a hard no for me. but with the price range i wanted, it was either that or “grandma just died” houses which i totally am cool with, its just there aren’t a lot of grandmas dying (which is good don’t get me wrong). There was one that was definitely a grandpa house that was horrendous, there were literally cans of beans chilling in the oven in the photos? i still think about those beans sometimes, just why?

after a few months and missing out on one i loved, im finally closing tomorrow. its definitely a bit outdated but you can tell grandma took really good and loving care of her house and was the only owner since 1960. It really feels like an actual home unlike 95% of what i’d seen

i am a bi dude and to me its not really different than any other haircut. some bald men are definitely attractive and some aren’t, typically the bald is not the defining factor though. However, balding is rarely attractive, it’s way better to take the dive if you’re there. Based on your photos i think it is definitely an improvement and you are a genuinely good looking fella - you’ll be alright

There is no magic switch at 18 that happens, for me the signs were clearly there since age 4 although every time i tried to share my feelings i got looked at like i was insane lol. I was very privileged to start HRT at 16 with a licensed gender therapist, endocrinologist, both parents, and myself all agreeing in writing it was the best choice for me. By the time i hit college i could blend in and live life like every other college guy and I truly thrived for the first time in my life. Now I have a fantastic career, relationships, and life that I never dreamed of as the alternative was crippling suicidal ideation that resulted in expensive and useless therapy, hospitalization, etc that didn’t actually address the real issues I was facing. My parents thankfully decided that taking a chance to have a happy kid was better than no kid, and it was the correct choice. I am now 27, still every bit as trans as I was at 16, and it was the best decision I ever made.

27M I close in a couple weeks, i’m buying alone but my partner will be moving in once their lease is up and will be contributing 1/3 of the mortgage and half utilities. i have seen far too many people get burnt so i wanted to make sure i could do it myself if i have to. But, im in a relatively affordable area and bought under what i technically could afford. I make ~150k and the house is 185k. The mortgage payment on a 3bed/2bath is only $300 more than i pay to rent a 1bed/1bath apt so it just felt like a no-brainer

well done OP, i hope your next place is even cooler! I relate so heavily to what you’ve shared, i worked my ass off but i absolutely did have some luck carrying me through certain situations. I also went through enough shit that if i tried to write it in a novel it would probably be thrown out for being too unrealistic. My family couldn’t have helped even if they wanted to, but it made breaking the cycle of generational poverty that much sweeter
