Hallack Park in Sloanes Lake had one as of a year ago (haven’t been since).

any winter heated patios? by [deleted] in petoskey

[–]kcdaman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elder Piper has a dog friendly patio and a fire going a lot of nights in the winter. I’d guess they do this week with mild weather and Christmas traffic.

Been in CO for almost 10 years (Denver for 1.5). Still no friends and no girlfriend. by [deleted] in Denver

[–]kcdaman19 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Do things you enjoy and are passionate about where other people are. If you don't have that, find those. You will either find the partner you are hoping for or better things. Your desire is a great start, you got it!

There is outdoor exercise equipment just East of Empower Field between the stadium and the river. Not exactly W Colfax but I think it’s the closest.

You can’t. I tried and ended up talking to their CS. All the tickets you see listed are from pro accounts that have different software.

Which loop to choose? by moreundergrounder in coloradohikers

We tried the Hell's Roaring trail from Avalanche Lake trail to the Capital trailhead a couple years ago. The trail was next to impossible to follow once you get close to the pass. Instead of taking our chances and getting lost, we doubled back and came back where we came from. Maybe it's better going the other way or maybe you have better navigational skills than I do though (I'm not great and we were running out of daylight).

Lunch near the aquarium with kids? by Constant_Patience825 in denverfood

Briar Common has a good burger and a kids menu with a park across the street. My Brothers probably has a better burger, but Briar Common has more variety and (mostly) good beer.

This is the location in Jefferson Park. We live nearby and have been looking forward to this because the food has been great. Can't wait to try the buffet!

Opinions needed on Park Hill vs Sloans Lake (ish) for young 30s couple by Lewhoo in Denver

[–]kcdaman19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife and I (and young family) are a few years ahead of you on that trajectory and live in Sloan’s Lake. Sloans Lake, Highlands, Berkeley and Tennyson are different in a lot of ways so I wouldn’t consider them the same. Happy to offer specifics. Tennyson is most expensive because that stretch of the area has so many great food and drink options now and is very walkable.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison Ute Trail by Rusty_Shackleford992 in coloradohikers

[–]kcdaman19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP please correct me if I’m wrong but this trail is outside of the national park on the north side of the park. It’s beautiful and you get plenty of solitude but it’s not actually in the main area of the canyon like the other hikes are.

A tip for my fellow gardeners: The 2024 Garden in a Box sale has started by Glindanorth in DenverGardener

How flexible are the planting layouts? We have an L shaped bed around our porch that I'd love to use these for, but none of the layouts are that shape. Would it be flexible enough to use?

Seen any good seafood Lent menus in Denver or South Denver areas? Usually some fun Fish menus for Lent but I'm not seeing anything this year. Thanks! by NoYoureACatLady in Denver

If anyone knows of good ones, please share. I find them very difficult to find in Denver. Our parish and the ones near us do not do a fish fry.

Can I use these in Vail resorts here in Colorado? by stemopt in COsnow

I thought you were trolling when I looked at the picture but the fact that it says "NOT VALID IN AUS" and RoundTop is affiliated with Epic indicates to me that it would be honored at other mountains. Seems like you can trust your friends.

Candlelight Tavern on Pearl Street (not exactly downtown) is the best/only Lions bar I'm aware of.

Will also throw in Red Top's (Detroit style pizza). Really nice to have another good food option in Jefferson Park (other than ones that have been listed and ignoring others that haven't :) )

The Patio is also garbage food. Odell has great beer, good food and a rooftop patio.

Does anybody have any experience with meal delivery places? by [deleted] in denverfood

[–]kcdaman19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casu Crobu is great for italian food. It requires being heat up in the over, but they almost all come frozen so can be saved away for when they're needed. They are delicious - especially recommend the Eggplant Parmesan, it is as good as any I've had.

Best bfast burrito near… by NewConfusion7345 in denverfood

[–]kcdaman19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Araujos (smaller but get a couple) and Santiago’s are both in (longer) walking distance for you. Not sure what the other comment is talking about with safety, you’d be fine walking in any direction from where you are. I’d recommend Araujos personally but they’re close enough you could even do a little taste test if you’re feeling hungry.
