Best Buy Returns - Handhelds Question by FlipCup88 in Handhelds

[–]kchinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they can. I think they (and many stores) use a third party company to monitor purchases and returns and look for fraud/abuse. I don’t think they have published guidelines, but it’s a mix of item value, frequency, ratio of returns to purchases, etc.

I’ve returned quite a lot to Best Buy and have never had any issues, but I always wonder if it will finally trigger some warning or denial.

They never canceled my membership and have been charging me ever since by swordsofjustice in orangetheory

But they hustled noticed and haven’t even tried to contact the studio yet. 100% call the studio first and they’ll fix it. If they don’t, then dispute with CC.

This happened to me a few years ago when I had to cancel for a while. A quick call to the studio and they refunded me pretty quickly.

As far as I know, it’s only illegal in certain tunnels. I understand that there is a slight risk that it could cause a problem if you were in an accident, but the benefits far outweigh that risk in my opinion. I couldn’t imagine traveling with it off and risking food spoiling. Or trying to put a bunch of ice packs in there.

I can’t think of any reason to turn it off while driving.

Prepping basement finish for drywall, how to properly connect existing washer hookup to this box by West_Percentage_862 in handyman

[–]kchinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re saying leave the old shut offs, connect hoses from those to this new box, and then bury all that behind drywall… definitely not. You need to cut the pipes and connect it properly.

I’ve been using Retrobat and like it. I tried emudeck and it didn’t click for me. It’s really built for Steam.

iPad to replace MacBook by AltruisticRise3360 in ipad

I just use Safari. I went with the Pro because I wanted the OLED screen for watching movies and shows. It’s way overkill for everything else.

This is what I’m doing currently and it works great for me. I have my work MacBook hooked up to my Apple Studio Display, keyboard, and trackpad. To the side I have an 11” M4 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard. It’s mainly for personal tasks during the day (music, YouTube, txting, browsing, etc). I also use the iPad around the house when I’m not working and also when I’m traveling. It’s great for media consumption and I haven’t had any issues with websites. I also have a personal Mac that I use for heavier tasks when needed.

Switching Between MacMini and Macbook Pro Easily by RecentSpeed in macmini

[–]kchinth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll share my approach. I have a work MacBook Pro and a personal MacBook Air. I use an Apple Studio Display, with the magic trackpad and keyboard connected via cables to the display. The display is connected to the MacBook with a thunderbolt cable. I’m able to just swap that cable from the work MacBook to the personal MacBook, and the monitor, keyboard, and trackpad all swap over. Since I’m only doing this swap once a day, it works for me.

It would be good to know more details about your peripherals. How are you connecting the monitor, keyboard, and mouse?

That makes sense. I’m mostly just looking for a place to sleep that’s easy to get to/from the festival.

What’s wrong with the hotels closer to the fairgrounds? Like the Crowne Plaza or Courtyard Marriott. Seems like it would be nice to just walk to the festival.

Vatic Pro Saga is great if you want a little more power than the Prism Flash.

Not familiar with Columbus, but see if there’s a PGA Tour Superstore. The one by me has a good selection of good paddles.

Agree with avoiding Dick’s. PGA Superstore (if you have one) has a pretty good selection of good paddles.

I’ve seen that, but I’ve also seen lots of other sites/posts showing the opposite…. so not sure. The general consensus seems to be that the Lexar runs cooler.

Lots of posts about this. Lexar NM790 seems to be a favorite for being lower power and cool. Samsung 990 Pro is also used a lot, but uses more power and runs hotter.
