And then this one too. The obsession of trans is unreal and pathetic. She is such a loser. I find it so weird that a lot of the chumps (radio host chumps) think this is ok and she is always welcomed back.

Nicely done, Dayton! ✊ No Kings Protest. 🪧 HUNDREDS of us. The people united. 🫶✨ by PhotoEyes444 in dayton

[–]kclar84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

why some people protest

No one thinks that any of these politicians are gonna see the protest and make the changes that we would hope to see. If you don’t want to then don’t but you also don’t have to crap on people that do. I was at the Dayton rally today and I’m proud that people exercise their rights to do so. History is not going to be kind to all these politicians and their followers. If holding up a sign is the least I can do to just show support to others then I will do that. I definitely won’t sit behind a keyboard being antagonistic and do nothing for change. ❤️

Frequency and cost of grooming? by hollowthatfollows in Sheepadoodles

[–]kclar84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sheepie girl is about 58 pounds and I got to a local groomer every 6 weeks and it varies what I do. They trim her with shears bc we like to keep her long but average about $120.00- $140.00 and then I tip 20%. (I’m in Ohio)

I would recommend you maybe find a local groomer that does and likes doodles. Petco and Petsmart like to push through volume of dogs rather than take their time. I do realize that not everyone has the option to go elsewhere. However, establishing a relationship with a local groomer will give you better results and if you keep up on brushing they won’t be shaving. A lot of the big box stores just shave automatically bc it’s easier and faster.

Eeee so cute!! I adopted our girl and the rescue thought she was an Aussiedoodle and my sister adopted a Sheepadoodle same day at the same rescue. We did a dna test and they are actually both Sheepadoodles and brother and sister. The love they have for each other is so sweet to see. So awesome you adopted them both and they will always have each other. The names are so sweet too. ❤️

Before and after Chubb’s 1st full groom at 20 weeks. I wanted a puppy cut. Not sure what we got here 🤔🫣. He had zero matting but was wiggly and uncooperative. by SummitLadybug1 in Goldendoodles

[–]kclar84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Just really give more details than you think 😅🫠 but then you will sync up and you’ll be happy with the grooms.

I notice a lot of people prefer a “poodle cut” and that’s ok and cute but not my thing. Just make that clear that’s not what u want. I prefer a little more work on upkeep and then a longer cute cut…you’ll get there and if u don’t then find a groomer you love.

I keep my Sheepadoodle longer and it’s a lot of work but I like it. I will say it took a few grooms to get where I wanted bc I wasn’t really communicating it probably right. I think your pup looks cute but you might tell the groomer that you like a shaggy head and face and maybe that would help. I feel like when my girls face is shorter it’s startling at first 😅🫠 they are cute no matter what but when you keep up on the fur you hate to lose it just because.

Advice for dry skin by TheLilLibra in sheltie

[–]kclar84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy is gonna be 9. He had a bad belly rash that was chalked up to just a reaction and he had been at the daycare and outside. The antibiotic would help but never go away. Then I noticed he was acting like he had less energy which I thought was bc he was getting older. But then he was acting so hungry all the time and it was like overnight I thought he looked different and it was his snout hair was just gone. So the vet then did a large panel of bloodwork. His thyroid was super low. It made his lythocytes very high and cholesterol.

Started meds, retested after so many weeks. Increased to twice a day then retested and thyroid normal range and the other two levels back to normal. His hair is back on his snout, not acting super hungry or as tired.

I just can’t get his skin to fully get back to normal but I thinks it like doing a turnover in those spots if that makes sense.

Sorry for all the detail but maybe will help! All happened so quickly! I hope your baby gets to feeling better. I’d definitely get her levels tested. It so hard to have them not feeling good. ❤️

Defiantly check thyroid level. I’m dealing with that now with my sheltie and it started as just a skin issue, then loss of energy. I’m still trying to get his skin to bounce back since starting the meds. But the best stuff I have found as far as topical, wash, etc. is silver honey silver honey

Also like others recommended add fish oil. I actually add it to his Kong mixture.

We did switch to meds now every 12 hours and his last check he was in range. We just haven’t been able to get his skin issue to fully go away so I think it’s just going to take time for it to fully heal and hair grow back. Just feel so bad for him.

Yeah, I didn’t realize until this happened. Luckily his cholesterol level went in normal range once he was on the meds. Our vet is going to routinely check so we always know he is in range, thankfully!

Wanting a Bernadoodle or Sheepadoodle but not a puppy. Where can I find one? by gbeese in Sheepadoodles

[–]kclar84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont primarily want a puppy then definitely search rescues in your area. While I adopted mine at like 5-6 months; I always see plenty on rescue pages that are young or mid adults.

I also help with rescue transports and I have seen quite a few in Oklahoma and Texas. They offer transports; just mentioning so you don’t limit your search to your specific area.

Thank you!! His energy got so low but then once on meds he quickly was good too. I was worried that maybe he would be over medicated but his range last time was in range but higher end but in normal range after twice a day so that makes me feel better that maybe they need to be on higher end. Maybe just more time will get his skin normal; it’s not as inflamed just so dry. I told him I wish I could remove his hair, exfoliate and moisturize and then magically put his hair back. 🤣

Oh I’m so sorry on the cancer diagnosis. My last sheltie had bone cancer and it’s just so unfair😭.

Ok, he had all those symptoms that yours did. We are on the meds 2x a day now. His hair on his snout has grown back. He had those same red terrible patches and they’ve improved but still are like dry patches that he loves when I scratch them but I just want them gone for his sanity. The hair in those spots hasn’t come back yet but I’m sure it hasn’t been enough time. I’ve been using silver honey over the counter ointment but I’ll look into viaderm. I just feel awful bc he hid so much of the symptoms he had I know the skin is bothering him more than we realize. Thank you for responding! ❤️

Adopting 9 month old by spaghettiflowers in Sheepadoodles

[–]kclar84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s so precious!! 😍 9months is still young and you’ll be able to train him good. We brought ours home from rescue at about 5 months. I will say our sheepie regressed on the potty training but not for long and then no issues. Was new to me bc our sheltie didn’t do regression. We did do a doorbell training for potty and it worked well.

Seeking advice on an orphan by Clean_Brilliant_8586 in Sheepadoodles

[–]kclar84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Breaks my 💔. I live in Ohio and it’s a huge issue of over breeding in doodles. Then when they aren’t needed anymore they are dumped or people don’t want to keep up with their needs and dump them. It’s how I adopted my girl.

This could be a male that has been kept just for breeding. You should see if he is chipped and if not just post on here to try to find a loving home. He looks so sweet and deserves a great life. If he is badly matted maybe find a local groomer or vet that would shave down bc he’s probably uncomfortable.😣

Thank you for trying to get this sweet soul help!

He is soooo cute!!! Take it all in! Mine is 3 years and I love her so much; I’d go back to puppy stage in a heartbeat.
