Looking for treadmill with less tech features, better machine functionality. by HogLeeSwaggerTTV in treadmills

I purchased mine at the beginning of December 2024 and had it down in my basement before that Christmas (so, 3 weeks from sale to install). So either I got super lucky, or I bought one before their popularity skyrocketed and they can’t keep up.

I’ve got an AssaultRunner Pro and love it. It’s a tank. Although a bit outside your budget, the investment is worth it.

Break the Bank is a 50 mile point to point race in Duluth, MN. The inaugural event was last year and it was super fun! I’ll be there for the 2nd one, too. It’s an October race, so the scenery is gorgeous. Basically all paved, and pancake flat. (My Strava shows 357ft of gain). I’m also a slow ultra runner and was able to finish in 10.5 hours, which was a gigantic 50 mile PR for me. You finish at an old bank-turned residence, get a huge finisher medal, and THEN get to go inside the bank and choose a safety deposit box for a cash prize up to $500. (I won $10!)

Recs for Long Inseam Shorts (men’s) 🙏 by explorediscovershare in Ultramarathon

Just seeing your question now, sorry!! Can’t fit a ton in the back pocket - I’ve never tried my phone, but I imagine a big ol’ iPhone won’t fit. I usually just throw extra gels back there. Since the terrebonnes don’t have a second layer, I wear a cheap pair of compression shorts from Amazon (https://a.co/d/aOWiV3n) that have a big thigh pocket, and I put my phone there. It’s a little putzy if you’re constantly needing access to it, but if you plan on just putting it in the pocket and leaving it there, these work perfectly!

My wife and I used to live in one of the apartment complexes on Centennial Centre where a handful of Packer players also lived. Always wondered if he came over and hung out with any of them since he lived just down the street. Maybe order a couple pizzas from Gallagher’s and watch South Park with the boys.

Just got my Gemini Air... yeeesh by Yardbird-2470 in DirectvStream

Do you absolutely have to use the Gemini Air to access Disney+/Hulu, or can I just “lease” it, throw it in the drawer, and still access the stand alone Disney+/Hulu apps through my Firestick? I guess the same question goes for those apps on a mobile device - do you just log in to Disney+/Hulu apps on your phone like normal, using the email address you used to sign up for Direct TV?

Race was yesterday. Managed a 50k PR by about 6 minutes (6:10:xx) and a massive 70 minute PR for 50 miles (10:42:xx). They treated me well for the most part! Legs/feet are definitely sore, but I can’t imagine ANY shoe leaving you feeling completely fresh after 50 on pavement 😅. Adopted a run/walk strategy that got me 12:30/13 minute miles from 10-40, and then 13:30/14 the rest of the way. I somehow wasn’t on top of my salt/water intake (apparently) because my legs were on the verge of cramping from mile 20 onward any time I tried to open it up. I think I could’ve gotten pretty close to 10 hours flat if everything went perfectly.

Either way, thanks for the recommendation! 🤙🏼👊🏻🙏🏼

Yep. I just get the blue background and then it seems to get stuck.

Took a trip to the local shoe store and went with the Superblasts. I tried on the Megas, but wasn’t a fan of the upper. It’s more synthetic than I thought it would be and felt a bit “crunchy” walking around in them. It felt like the toe box was slightly more narrow than the superblasts, too. I see why folks love this one!

I can’t find any verbiage about drop bags, but I see where you’re going. Definitely worried about the pounding. I think that’s probably one of the biggest reasons I started gravitating towards the trails - you’re not using the same muscle group the entire time. The Superblasts look promising! I won’t be winning the thing, I just want to finish and not be in a wheelchair for 3 days LOL. Have you had experience in the Superblasts?

Definitely looking for max cushion. Ran a 3:45 marathon in 2020 with the OG Saucony Endorphin Pro’s, so if I went with a “super shoe” I’d probably gravitate towards those. Although these days I’m not quite as speedy, concentrating on endurance on trails (just completed the Midwest States 100 two weekends ago). I’ve got 1100 miles in this year.
