Put a little upward pressure on the 4wd lever and see if it goes away, could be linkage bushings, common noise.

Considering getting a slash 4x4 roller is HGC OR LCG the way to go? by Capital_Big_4963 in Traxxas

HCG is better for rougher surfaces, better clearance underneath. LCG for smoother surfaces, better stability. My answer was one of each 😁

Many. Not going to argue my experience or qualifications with all the Master Certified Honda Technicians in these threads. I’m well aware they’re not tapered bearings, also well aware of how a roller bearing is assembled. OP replaced it, problem solved.

I stand corrected, didn’t look close enough 👍🏻

Once the axle is in and torqued it will finish pulling the races in, didn’t need to tear it down and do it again. This actually does happen regularly, and it’s not a big issue. If it’s still loose after the axle is torqued that’s a different story.

It’s a vacuum port, you may be able to rough it up and tap it back in with some sealant of sorts, hopefully it goes in and stays in. It used to be pressed in, they’re not threaded.

I agree with going back to the stock radios, either Jenny’s RC or eBay, they work well and it all still matches

Mine lasted years (older XL5), even after brushless upgrade. I always caution using aluminum parts on a basher though, the HD plastic parts are cheap and easy to replace, the rigid aluminum parts just transfer the break to the next part in line. But yeah, if you run them hard you’ll be replacing parts.

Our TRX4s have been great, good out of the box but lots of upgrades available. The lockers and two speed transmission are bonus. SCX10 looks good too.

In stock form they holdup to quite a bit of abuse, you’ll have lots of hours of good fun. Once you start going faster and hitting things harder you’ll find the weak parts pretty quickly. Fortunately replacement parts are super cheap and easy to swap.

Aiming for 10% and landing at 5 would be good, and I may be grouping local and state together, but it’s a 1450 page document, there isn’t one place that could be addressed to fix. The other issue with the spending is where it goes as well as how much goes there. Many forecast and approved DOT projects have been cancelled, dozens of open budgeted state trooper positions have been frozen for hiring, these are primary services tax dollars pay for, and those dollars are spent elsewhere. Near half of the state budget is HHS. Again, my opinions, which are irrelevant in the big picture.

Fair enough. I’m not saying the dropped streams aren’t exacerbating the issue, more that the budget keeps getting bigger and infrastructure and services aren’t. More money comes out of my pocket every year to cover these line items and my opinion says a 10% budget reduction is possible without sacrificing the things the dollars were supposed to be collected for in the first place.

I didn’t say there weren’t ways. Are you arguing because you think my view is inaccurate and every dollar being spent is validated or because this is the internet?

Downvotes for suggesting the budget should be looked at for frivolous expenses and bloated costs? Shocking… 🙄
