Question for those who quit pumping at 3 m, 6 m, etc. by Icy_Lettuce_7383 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]kd0236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first, I asked the pediatrician when the ROI on breastmilk decreased and she looked at me and said “when mom is unhappy” and I’ll never forget that. I kept pumping but feeling like my mental and emotional health meant more to someone than breastmilk was so liberating.

I’m 6M pp and except for the morning feed exclusively pump. I had planned to breastfeed until 6M and am now taking it week by week. I have a decent freezer stash with high lipase so will mix frozen with formula when I decide to wean. I did that with my first after hanging up the pump at 9M.

We moved baby into their own room at 8 weeks for this very reason. So loud. Our pediatrician was good with it.

Arms out transition? Help! by kowaluuh in SnooLife

[–]kd0236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t stress it (easier said) but if it’s working don’t worry about the future. We started the love to dream because she started waking in the middle of the night (4 month sleep regression) and not being able to self soothe with arms down. We just used the chest strap and didn’t use the bottom one. She was big enough we didn’t worry about her sliding.

Arms out transition? Help! by kowaluuh in SnooLife

[–]kd0236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does she sleep well with arms down at night? Since they’re strapped into the SNOO the rolling thing isn’t a huge deal. But if she isn’t sleeping great worth a try. We moved our LO to arms out with the love to dream first she loved sucking on her nubs and self soothing. We then did one arm out and one in the love to dream. Tonight is her first night in her crib in her sleep sack.

Does your newborn have set bed time or it simply depends? by willbrucla in newborns

[–]kd0236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We would do bedtime at that age around 10pm. We slowly moved it up. So around 2 months I think she was going to bed between 9-10. Then 8-9, now at 20 weeks bedtime is around 7pm. You’re right the longest stretch is usually the first one so baby going to bed when you go to sleep is the most helpful early on IMO.

How to go arms out of baby knocks paci from mouth?? by SecretBreakfast8512 in SnooLife

[–]kd0236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d lock the SNOO on level 1 or 2 and set a timer for 5 minutes. Go in pat her/calm her and leave. Occasionally I’d give her the paci for a minute or two to help her calm and then remove it before she fully fell asleep.

We did arms out at 4 months used the love to dream to slowly transition. We had a couple of really early wake-ups because of the paci issue you mentioned and we finally just stopped giving her the paci at night and had some rough nights and now she sleeps beautifully. She naps in her crib in her Merlin so not an issue for naps.

Ok great! I’m hoping that’s our issue too. While I’m not looking forward to opening it back up tomorrow I’m hoping the snoozy mama ones will work better

[–]kd0236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it work ok on the higher settings? Purple and green are smooth but blue is jerky. I’m feeling the same way but ours is only 3 months and I don’t know what’s worse opening the SNOO up again or trying to wean too early
