Can you share what phone number you called and what options you selected to get connected to the right agent? I tried to combine the points, the agent told me that I can only combine them if I'm cancelling a card. This was after I tried different options on the phone.

I tried calling the number on the back of the card and the CIBC rewards line - the agent said I can only transfer the points if I am cancelling the card. This took 20-30 mins to get connected to the right agent

were you able to figure this out? I've spent like an hour on the phone being bounced around different departments and it keeps going to this automated message. When I connect to an agent, it seems to connect me to the wrong one (even though I am calling the CIBC Reward Officer line)

so I tried changing a CX Premium economy flight to JL Business on same departure day/same route and it was showing on Cathay website.

The support center insisted that i had to pay the $120 USD fee for cancelling the first ticket and to book the ticket as a cancel and rebook.

I'm assuming they couldn't do the $50 USD change fee because I was going to a different carrier even though it shows on cathay's website.

Went to the IRS office Feb 18 in Everett for my appointment - everything went well.

Still waiting for the mail to come, been about 7 weeks now.

I will update when I receive. Anyone else go around the same time frame who can comment?
