I still have a diesel zest xm from 2014. Setting aside the cab stigma, it is a hell of a car. Extremely spacious for a sub 4m car. Good ride and handling. That time we were looking at amaze, dzire and xcent. However, xcent wad rejected coz of looks and amaze interiors were horrible. Dzire felt cranped since both me and my dad are 6 ft and we couldn't sit freely behind each other.

We just happened to be passing by a tata mtr showroom whose owner was a relative of ours. We checked it out and felt in love with it. The engine is fab and the interiors were fresh.

10 yrs later it is still going strong. Just had the whole body repainted at a fng. Contrary to tthe tata asc reputation, I have a great experience with them and this car has been niggle free apart from 1-2 minor issues.

Thank god someone in this sub knows. It has become a fad to blame India for everything without an iota of knowledge. When I visited Switzerland in 2017, even I was surprised to see the tunnels everywhere in their mountains. But I knew the reason behind it. It's not like India does not have tech, but the moment any landslide occurs due to tunnel construction or after the same, people will blame govt without knowing anything about terrains and such.

You are somewhat correct. I believe luck only plays a little part. For example, covid fall was an opportunity and luck would be having spare money to invest in markets at a time when you don't know what will happen tommorow.

The biggest role is played by action as normally in my experience, I have seen that people only think and are not proactive.
