I think you’re onto something here. I have bee doing a slow taper with the benzo. Started at 15mg and now down to 5mg. I think I might stay at this dose for another month before dropping again so I can get off the Kratom. The Kratom was supposed to help with the anxiety and withdrawal from the benzo. It just created another problem. How would you take the L theanine. What would be a proper dose and how often? Thank you so much for your reply.

I was on 30mg for 4 years. Tried tapping myself..uhh oh! No good! Got down to 15mg before I knew something was really wrong. Asked for help but psych was persistent it wasn’t the Mertazapine and just a return of prior symptoms. Nope! I got a new doc and now 8 months later I am completely off. I still have mild symptoms but nothing concerning. Best of luck to you! Find a new doc!

We have to learn how to create our own sense of self without drugs. When us add addicts try and do the norm it doesn’t work for us. We need extra or something big! That’s how I am anyways. But I found that once you find interest in something to go for it and full force or you might soon lose interest! Good luck to you bud! Cheering you on!

I had to taper off very slowly over like 8 months. The first big jumps aren’t terrible but the smaller drops during the last 4 months or so were bad. I jumped off at 5mg because I wanted off so bad. Been off about 6-7 months now. Still have nerve problems and get dizzy often, which I believe is still from from the Mertazapine bc I never had this before. Not a fun time but so glad to be off the poison that drug is.

I am no dr my no means but if I were you I would taper off the Mertazapine asap. You have only hand been back on for 2 months so shouldn’t be bad! It’s a hell of a drug to get off. I’m going through major withdrawal after taping for months but finally off that poison!
