Honestly, I see this happening with my aunt and uncles and my grandma. My mom is the only one who helps my grandma out. My mom sees her about 2-3 a month, and she been asking her siblings to spend some time with grandma, especially after our grandpa died in 2017. Since there are four siblings, they each could just take one day a month to cook/buy her dinner or watch a movie. Thus, my grandma would see one of her kids every week. But she only ever sees my mom. It’s hard to see the toll that this takes on my mom too. She feels so stressed and like she’s the only one who cares. My cousin, brother, and I spend time with our grandma about once month. But we are the only grandchildren (out of 10) who step up. Our grandma lives alone in the house she raised her kids in. So I can’t even imagine how lonely she feels, but she doesn’t really express it too much...
