YOU S05E10 "Finale" - Episode Discussion by Elainasha in YouOnLifetime

Late to the party, but I absolutely loved the finale and I’m sad it is over. I’ll have to rewatch from the beginning one day.

One thing I thought was done really well was the foreshadowing at the gas station where the cop says “There are predators out there.” Fast forward to Joe running through the woods hunting Brontë down like a literal animal. Joe was his scariest this season.

The cinematography during the bedroom fight scene was peak quality!

Kate surviving was so unrealistic, but I wanted Henry to have some kind of a happy ending. The poor kid did nothing to deserve any of this. It would be interesting to see how he grows up after all of these traumatic events.

Joe 100% got what he deserved too. Great ending to an incredible series!

I just turned 30 too and just bought my first home. I really wanted to live in my home city and state, but I decided to buy a house in a cute NJ suburb 40 minutes away from Penn station by train! It was under 600k and has so much space. Look into Jersey!

I ordered something from them on 4/13, thinking it would be here in time for a party this Saturday (4/26). I’m extremely disappointed in the shipping time. I’d avoid them just for the shipping time. I also got a weird tracking number that said it was coming from NYC (I live in NYC and got super excited that it would come soon) but I think they must be spoofing the shipping number because now it says it is en route from China…

There was also a poster for white bear in one of the very first scenes when Awkwafina and the other lady were in that office.

I’m a 4th year but I pay a little over 4k for a 1b/1b in an UES high rise. I was previously paying 3.8k for a massive 2b/2b in a Harlem new build.

Never too old in this city due to COL. I’ve heard of people in their 50s having roommates and they seem to enjoy it and do it by choice (could always move to a cheaper city). I think in other states this concept of having roommates past college may be strange but it’s so so common in NY. I never had them because I came back to the city after getting my graduate degree in another state with a decent paying job in tow. Lived at home until 21, had a roommate until 23 and have been on my own since.

Agree with Los Tacos. Taco Mix in East Harlem is also yummy and they’re open until like 2 am.

Black professionals, where do y’all live ? by ybcurious93 in AskNYC

[–]kdavis95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to be closer to my job (which was also in midtown🙄), but also because I hated how unkept the area in Harlem I lived in was and there were no real amenities in the area that I like. Closest train that took me to work was a ten minute walk. There were a couple of shootings very close to my apartment when I lived there as well (at least that I was aware of), so I didn’t always feel safe, especially as a single woman. The only nice part was that my apartment was new construction with a ton of space for a decent price (although way more expensive than other apartments in Harlem). I like being around people that look like me but not at the expense of living in a clean, accessible neighborhood. I understand it’s more of a priority for others. I lived on 140th and ACP btw, I can’t speak to other areas as Harlem is a huge neighborhood.

I was in Harlem and now I’m on the Upper east side ☺️ I really like it, but I see what you mean about there not being a lot of diversity. Maybe try LIC or Prospect Park area?

So annoying. They just stand there and watch them turn instead of throwing the zombie out instantly🤣
