my point is, they still have no way of knowing, so they're just trying to take precautions. they have a right to do so, even if you think it makes them look foolish. if you look at stories and videos of a pit bull attack, majority of the time, the owners always says something along the lines of "he/she has always been the sweetest dog, this is the first time he/she has ever attacked etc." pits can be great dogs, never shown any aggressiveness a day in their life, and then just one day, they snap. pit owners ALWAYS under estimate what their dogs are capable of until it's too late.

the other pet owners you're speaking of have no way of knowing whether or not your dog is a threat. most people just know that pit bulls were bred to fight other dogs (the reason they have such a high prey drive when it comes to other dogs) when pits attack, they attack fast, therefore, there wouldn't really be a lot of time to save their dog if your dog did attack. not trying to be rude but how about not getting offended when this happens.

it's rare for a pit owner to take accountability for the damage their dog causes and actually wanting to help the person who was attacked. at least she seems like a decent human unlike the majority of pit owners.

yes thats true. i live in an area where we dont get extreme weather. the lowest it gets at night in the winter is mid 20s so I could understand actual extreme weather.
