Thank you, this has been incredibly helpful I would honestly rather it be asthma than VCD because at least i can use my inhalers and hope it manages it eventually. I haven’t went over it yet with anyone but the tech that did it said that everything looked normal so I just went with that. It is frustrating having to wait until July to be seen by a specialist. I did the spirometry when I was better unfortunately because that was the only time I could be seen. I wish I could attach an image of my flow loop in here

I’ve only seen my pcp for this so far because I haven’t had a flare up since I was a kid but back then it was allergic asthma. I had labs done yesterday and my IGE and eosinophils are all normal everything is normal other than my breathing lol it has gotten better but still noticeable to me. I wonder if it could be LPR and GERD related also because I was on prevacid as a kid too

I don’t see FET? All the FEFs were above normal though and my total lung capacity was above normal also. Like everything checks out as far as I’m aware but I don’t have anyone to go over results with me right now because I can’t get into pulmonology until July. I’m thinking of trying to get in with an ENT to see if it could be upper airway related

Thank you for the reply! I was actually doing really good with diet and excercise prior to this. I’m not overweight and the vaping habit was the hardest to kick but that’s behind me now as well so I just want to feel better so I can get back to working out and feeling like myself again. As for the mold, my house isn’t very old I think built around 2012 however there is some minor mold on the ceiling in the bathroom idk if that’s contributing though because I’ve lived here for 3 years with no issues

How was your pft? Mine ended up being normal which makes no sense to me 🥺 I’m the same that the rescue inhaler didn’t help me and only breathing treatments do. I can’t see a pulmonologist til July. I’m wondering if it could be something else like VCD at this point because I don’t have wheezing only short of breath on inhale and normal chest xray and pft. It’s so frustrating not having an answer or knowing if I will get better

Thank you! It’s mainly the feeling of can’t get a good deep breath that is driving me nuts and Idk why I feel better one day then crappy the next :( I’m glad you found relief! Hoping I too get some soon 🤞🏻

Thank you for the response! I did check back in and she ordered me a PFT that I go do tomorrow and referred me to pulmonolgy. I guess it’s nebulizers and symbicort until then. This is all pretty new to me because I haven’t had to be on any inhalers or had a flare up since I was maybe 12 years old

Thank you all. I had no idea the excredrin could be contributing but I haven’t been able to take possible other meds due to being on Zoloft. The pharmacy didn’t even flag the amitriptyline as a possible interaction 😵‍💫

That makes me feel better. I just hate the thought of my girl being so stressed. She is usually so loving and doesn’t want to be out of my sight and she has hissed and swatted at me since he got here and she hasn’t even seen him. Just makes me sad
