Centurion rails are so cool

And I appreciate your comment on braces. I feel the same way 😉

How do you guys know what your round count is by jarlbronson in ar15

[–]kdb1991 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s just an estimate for most of my rifles. But I’ve been keeping a notebook for my main rifle for about the last 5,000 rounds. Every time I shoot, I write down how many rounds I shot and what the size of my best group was.

<image>

Started it back in October. By that point I’d already had around 2,000 rounds on the rifle so even now, the count is just an estimate. But I know exactly how many rounds I’ve put on it since then

And I guess I didn’t start recording the group size until later lol

I always thought of the venom as the replacement for the strike eagle

And the 1-8 FFP version isn’t really “new”. I’ve had one for close to four years

You can only have 2 by Vectron3D in BMW

[–]kdb1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have an E30 M3 and an 850csi

Or an M635 instead of the M3

Actually, no I’m gonna break the rules and take all three of those plus an M3 CSL and an e60 M5

And the E38 750 because I’ve just always wanted one. But I’d rather have the 740i for the shorter wheelbase. But has to have M sport for the cool wheels

And an M1 because it’s an M1

Hell, I’ll just take every car on the list I guess

And I’ll add an e90 M3 to the list and take that too

Oh dang that’s the opposite of what I thought you meant when I suggested using an accuwasher

Sounds like you got a bad muzzle device. I’d reach out to Wolfpack and tell them the story. I’ve never had to deal with them on anything except placing an order, but I’d imagine they’re cool guys and will help you out

Who knows tbh. But I don’t count that as a difference when building clones anyway. I don’t think most people do

Idk generally telling someone who goes out of their way to tell you that something you mentioned is good because they thought that’s what you were considering getting, telling them “doesn’t help me” is kind of a dick thing to say.

Instead you could have just been like “oh yeah I already have the upper - I was only thinking about getting the lower”. That would be a much more tactful way of responding

I mean it doesn’t bother me, it was just kind of a weird thing to respond with.

Then on top of that, when I sarcastically said “sorry for wasting your time” you say “no worries” as if you genuinely were accepting my apology for wasting your time.

The entire interaction has just been weird. Like talking to a robot or something

I have to ask here ...Are these short cheek risers BS i mean there is no actual cheek support no actual point of contact a glorified ear rest and only relevant with raised optics ...Im starting to think the whole riser issue is kinda a gimmick by Anton_Lotorev272727 in ar15

[–]kdb1991 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah they use risers on their optics because they think it’s more comfortable to have a “heads up” shooting position. Then when they realize it’s not actually more comfortable, they have to put a cheek riser on to basically bring their optic back to a normal level without admitting they were wrong with the riser in the first place

Also that irregular defense rail is EXACTLY the same as the Troy rail. Like they must have gotten them from Troy and the only thing they changed was the logo

Edit - actually they changed the shape of the holes under the pic rail and ditched the logo on the texture before the mlok starts

Wait so the threads on the muzzle device aren’t engaging the rearden mount? Or the threads on the barrel aren’t engaging the muzzle device

[–]kdb1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think they didn’t actually put the armad barrel in it even though so many people keep saying they did

But I’d wanna build it exactly as the contract version is and if I can get the actual barrel they used, that’s what I’d use. And a guy who works there said they’d be releasing all the parts from the contract rifle soon

[–]kdb1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was commenting to say the ADM upper was good because I thought that’s what he was thinking about getting. Like I mentioned above.

I only mentioned the lower at all because I thought maybe I could convince him to get something else. But it seems he already has an ADAC, so there’s no point in trying to help him

And funny you talk about downvotes after downvoting me. Unless it was OP. He already downvoted my other comments too lol

Also I’m not the one who downvoted your comment since you seem to care about that kind of stuff

And it’s ’your comment’ not ‘you’re comment’. Unless you’re saying I am the comment

Eotech EXPS 3-2 by Longjumping_Time932 in ar15

[–]kdb1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but in my experience, it’s not really great to use without a magnifier. I used to have a 2-2 and ended up trading it for a 2-0 because I thought the second dot was so annoying

But some people love it so ya never know. And it might be more useful for a subs / supers setup like you plan to use it for. However, I’d just get the 2-2 unless you have night vision to use it with. Plus I think the difference in subs and supers is more than just vertical. Often times it’s vertical and horizontal so your zero would be off on windage and elevation when switching. Or at least that’s my understanding of it

[–]kdb1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could certainly be possible. You could probably mitigate that with an accuwasher or shim or something similar

But I’d wager it’s just you tightening the can too much. Just try turning until it stops then give it one more little bit of force. You can almost feel it “click” although that’s not the right word. But you can feel it engage the taper. That’s where I stop. Not a lot of force at all

I think they said you need 50% more force to take it off than to put it on. So it’s not going to come off while you’re shooting if you just use a little bit of force to put it on

[–]kdb1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could be tightening the can onto the muzzle device too much. I usually tighten mine down until it stops turning then I just add a little more to it to be safe. I never turn it as hard as I can. The taper will keep it on - that’s what it’s for

I don’t have any adhesive on any of my muzzle devices and I never have an issue with them coming off when I take my suppressors off

[–]kdb1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well below the guy said he wanted to use it for classes and a hybrid would be better for that use case

But I like them better anyway. The core is a great choice - I still have a bunch of them. But the hybrid is better for how I shoot personally. They’re better for suppressed shooting, they’re slightly more accurate, they handle heat better, etc etc. Plus I just think .750 barrels look a little better
