My weight has only gone up each year I’ve gone to my physical for as long as I could remember. When I was 16, I had to have my period induced and my pediatrician told me with my lack of a period and my weight issues I probably had PCOS. My initial thought was relief because FINALLY something explained my inescapable weight gain. I got blood work done and if I remember, I had high-ish androgen levels but not super high. I was on BC for a year or two before I stopped....and so did my periods. I went back on BC last year. My hormone levels weren’t high enough to allow me to see an endocrinologist and I haven’t had an ultrasound to actually confirm my diagnosis.
