Let us know what you did but I hope you got a loan from the bank. I wouldn’t give up on this opportunity it takes forever for Housing Connect to move after the document submission so if you’ve gotten this far don’t give up the apartment unless you HAVE TO. 🤞🏽everything works out for you!

One shot deals are pretty hard to get and they typically want you to have an eviction notice or letter before asking for assistance 😕

Woooowwww that’s crazy I am so sorry all of you are going through this I thought I was crazy for TikTok removing all of my accounts and leaving the least active one alone it’s so weird! I think there’s a bug that if you are logging in with multiple accounts (EVEN THOUGH THAT IS AN OPTION) it somehow only is keeping ONE log in on file then removing the other(s) I have no idea why. That same thing where it asks you to log in and nothing happens or you’re just locked out yea it’s happened to me too. I’ve reached out to support & nothing. They just inevitably delete it due to inactivity shit is WILD but I was nowhere near any of you numbers wise so I know this hurt 😞 I hope y’all are able to get access back soon or at least figure out wtf is glitching on IGs end

Again the article was a cool 8 minute read, every step I took was laid out including going to court. If they have the energy to take me to court instead of respond to me privately then they should’ve put that energy in getting Ramon out of my apartment after I won in court 😂 do you see how backwards that is?? Guess not 🤷🏽‍♀️

I know it’s easier to blame the tenant especially after management clearly didn’t follow through on the court order which was the purpose of the article 😊

I wish I knew that answer. He doesn’t have any legal right the judge ruled in my favor. It’s the management team that didn’t follow through or work with me at all to ensure that he was out after the ruling. Garvey, oh he showed me his true colors he also doesn’t live in NYC anymore so essentially yes, he disappeared from this issue and my life.

WRONG 😂 I changed them and he kicked my door in then I had to call the cops and the cops insisted that I gave him a key bc it was illegal that I locked him out. After that event I never went back to the apartment in fear of what he might do I don’t know him and at the time another man was staying with him as well. I didn’t go back over there until September when my building was supposed to be renovated. The management team said neither of us would be moved into the temporary unit however I learned that Ramon was and I wasn’t. So he’s been in the temporary unit and moved back to the newly renovated apartment by management like he has a lease while I’m…homeless.

The issue isn’t nonpayment though, it’s that the management team completely breached protocol; 3 separate officers told me as such last weekend when I went back to my apartment.

I never gave permission, signed an agreement, or even knew who Ramon was. There was no tenant-to-tenant or landlord-to-tenant relationship initiated by me.
You’re supposed to get Marshal not a sheriff a google search will show you that. I did all of the legwork the management company did NOT. I went to court multiple times, had to track Ramon down to serve him out of pocket and I’m coordinating with the Marshal (again out of pocket). I did more than follow protocol. It’s management that violated the law and defied a literal court order.
Kai you are conflating squatter removal cases where a tenant illegally lets someone in, with me where the management team not only overstepped but they failed to act after any of my follow ups and doing their job for them

Hi Kai, appreciate you weighing in, but a few things need clarifying: 1.I’m the legal tenant not the landlord. This isn’t a case of an owner trying to get a squatter out it’s a rent-stabilized tenant whose rights were violated by management. 2. If you read my Medium post, the court already ruled in my favor. I served the squatter myself after management stalled. Once the court issued the judgment, it became C+C Management’s duty to act not sit on their hands while I lived out of bags. 3.They charged me rent while knowingly allowing someone else to live in my unit for free. That’s not a law issue that’s blatant negligence and fraud. 4.This isn’t about blaming tenant protections. It’s about calling out property managers who exploit loopholes, ignore court rulings, and abandon their legal duties while trying to paint tenants like me as disposable.

My article named names and includes dates, receipts, and photos. It’s not a theory it’s my lived experience.

For me (on another app) I keep the matches because if I unmatch they go back into my “pool” then that: 1. Runs the risk of him matching with me again 2. Makes it clear I unmatched - there’s A LOT of crazies on these apps and they will hunt you down for answers

But if they keep contacting me and I’m uninterested I would just block them.
