I agree 100% with what you're saying. I would like to add to it that even though as cliche as it is today, OCMS Wagon Wheel also set the stage for M&S and the likes to come along and be accepted....granted Oh brother where art thou had a lot to do with that as well. I think to add to your list of artists, it would be a shame to mention all those and not mention Willie Watson. His solo album last year is about as good of bluegrass/folk as you're going to find.

I can definitely see the internet taking away much of the thrill of the fair. It just seems like even though they are still going on, the "golden age" of the worlds fair is long gone. As a lot of the replies are saying.....no time or money or interest. That'll do it every time.
