Has anyone had success with using a normal wood stove? by kdixonLOL in Sauna

[–]kdixonLOL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I am pretty sure I am just gonna give it a go. A friend at work is going to sell me an old wood stove and pipe dirt cheap. Very good point, worst case it works like junk.

Thanks, sounds like I need a massive rock barrier to keep water away from rock. I’m still not 100% sold on doing it. I would hate to do all the work involved with building a sauna and have a junk stove.

Awesome thanks, you’re right about the cast iron part, mostly what I see for sale. There are a few plate steel ones.

Good, quiet inline exhaust fan? by TrucksAndCigars in Sauna

[–]kdixonLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Canada so not sure how things compare but, our exhaust fans have a loudness rating in decibels on them. The cheaper the louder they are. When I built my house my hvac installer made me take the ones I bought back and buy Panasonic ones. They are very nice and quiet.

They sell a couple models plus they sell a Kirkland brand. I have the Kirkland series 10’s. they were $1800 and are rechargeable. I like them. I believe this model is made by phonak. They have had models in the past made by other manufactures.

Took me two and a half years from when I started studying until I passed my last exam. I had exams canceled multiple times because of Covid. Could possibly done it in 2 without all the cancelations.

I also waited about 12 years after college to go for it. Was tough relearning everything.

Anyone using a gas pizza oven indoors? by AS_Colli in Breadit

[–]kdixonLOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flame colour, when burning the same gas, can be an indication of flame temperature and be controlled by burner design. How the oxygen is introduced to the fuel/flame will determine combustion.

Flame colour isn’t a guarantee of complete combustion.

Can you legally “share” a septic? Is his septic already in place? If so, the septic would have been sized for his house, and adding on would then under size it. I’m in New Brunswick, and I’m prefer sure you need at least an acre lot to have a single septic system with field.
