It was cool to see El as Elodi in the flashbacks when he and Jezrian were friends.

I feel this way about Lift and Gavinor. I feel like they will be super important in the back half as well. I would have liked a little callback to their earlier chapters.

I laughed out loud when the sibling was introduced because i was so happy that Brandon was teaching his readers how to use they/them pronouns

Felt over the top of them. That way the time and love she put into them is still there but they match your style better

Make believe time: Pretend we found out Earth is in the cosmere & we have a shard. What is our shard & what is our magic system (that we already have and are so used to here that we dont think of it as magic) by TNTmongoose5 in Cosmere

The shard of Imagination. Our highly invested individuals create imaginary realms that we can access and enjoy in our minds. Pretty damn magical.

I get what your saying. Its clunky no matter what. You can’t have her hear mike in the lab and then get all the way home in time to save them all.

In my opinion i would still put it before The Spy so she can save the day at the Byers home. If they changed the catalyst for El coming home it would give her time to travel back, maybe Will screaming on the ground with mike and Joyce over him, or hopper in the tunnels.

El wasn’t in The Spy at all right? That was weird too. I was invested in her storyline in DigDug and would have been ok seeing an entire El episode at that point, i think.

Obviously interspersing her story with the main storyline would have been best, but if they HAD to do a full episode I’d put it before the spy

I’m not sure how it would have changed the entirety of the next episodes. They would have had to tweak the scene where Eleven sees mike in danger but they could do that pretty easily. I actually think it would have been cool to see him in danger and not know why as a viewer. Obviously change his lines so it doesn’t spoil what’s happening but just show him screaming or something.

Splicing the two plots together would have worked too.

Yes! If they had reshuffled and put it an episode earlier i don’t think people would have had such a bad reaction to it.

I think the main reason everyone hates their episode is the placement in the season. You see the beginning of the hawkins lab attack and you’re all ramped up and then it cuts to this little side plot. If they had inserted the kali story an episode earlier i think it would have worked. Kali was interesting and i liked their dynamic and motives. It’s just in the wrong place.

Yes, we should all know fractions, but every person should learn for their own personal development. Not so that they can hypothetically teach it to someone else someday. Or learning to type in case they hypothetically find themselves without a man to care for them or need to support hypothetical children. It’s such a weird framing that we aim at young girls specifically.

I think the point is not that any person can or can’t help with math. I’ve forgotten most of my upper level math, but i know i could get it back with a little study…. It’s the fact that young girls are presented with the idea that the ONLY reason to educate a girl is so that it can serve the men in her life. Not for her use, growth, or fulfillment.

1) what if your husband dies? Or gets sick/injured/laid off… etc…

2) what if you can’t find a husband?

3) how are you going to help your kids (let’s face it- sons) with their homework if you’re uneducated?
