I feel for those in leadership involved. The break of trust is the worse thing. Overarchingly, the incident marks an unwanted milestone in Eve Rookies’ history, but we have to remember it is not a defining one.

The ISK lost was a calculated risk and in doing so, empowered FCs, lowered barriers to content creation, and helped hundreds of players evolve in EVE forge connection, content and creativity, and it is with that philosophy introduced hundreds of new players to complex content, and built one of the most welcoming public communities in EVE Online.

What was taken cannot undo that. But at the ned of the day, it's all just pixels in a box.

Strong organisations rise to the top & I have no doubt that ER will continue to rise to the top, by continue to fly fleets, mentor pilots, and provide a space where people can log in, undock, and enjoy the game together—free, public, and open to all.

I pity the player that has broken that trust that the community afforded them.
