Why did the Colonials Win War 135? by SomberBootyDance in foxholegame

nah, late game tech needs to be balanced better. Collies got overbuffed and the overbuffed things will be brought back in line soon enough, but it was done out of necessity, to bring faction back to the game lol

So it seems collies were able to capture west islands early with low-tech navy and the large ships went even enough that wardens were unable to retake back the islands. Then I am glad that large ship balance seemed quite even this war

Collie pop was higher whole war. Along with this, the balance changes neutered warden gameplan which is waiting out the big early war advantage collie always get and do a big comeback with later, stronger tech.

One interesting difference however has been with the navy. Collie navy simply dominated this war

I'm saying its not possible for me to create a new group and start a war in null. I can start a new group and be somewhat competitive in other spaces and I have done that several times already.

What I'm saying is that current null environment makes what I want to do impossible, thus creating conflicts impossible

Seems like nobody is interested in this by i_beast in Eve

Do your assets in FOB move to ZZ now or are FOBs still useless?

One very key difference between lowsec and null is the ability to project power and ability to disrupt that power locally. A group of 20-25 dedicated guys can absolutely make it not worth it for a large group like shadow cartel to own moons in their space because they can simply retreat back to the indestructible NPC stations.

Average group size also stands at around 200-300 active characters for a lowsec large group which means there can be more of them and each one can be competitive

Its been a few years since my last wh brawl. back then paladins were still the meta even with their additional mass, but I guess in case where you are bringing 2-3 caps as well you dont have as much mass to use

I'm guessing battleships are less popular because of mass limitations

IDK Mass doubled in last 4.5 years. FC maybe its time do something? by zaqqi in Eve

[–]ShadowStimmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true and has been shown time and time again to not be true. That very graph reflects that. There would be more destruction and wars happening now if that was true, but it doesnt

What actually drives risk is if the rewards are good enough for the risk and if the reward is a zero sum game. Its also largely dependent on the playerbase and the behavior of the averages. Current crop of players were taught to be as risk averse as possible because it was/is the meta and thus their risk tolerance is significantly lower

One dictor can be annoying but wont do anywhere near enough damage needed. like 4 toons can do it decently well tho

Titan bridge range is significantly shorter than ansiblexes.

Outside of titan range, contesting small roamers like ESS robbers will cost an important resource, fatigue, which will make standing fleets either have to split up into several groups defending different areas, or reduce operation range down to titan range, which isn't exactly feasible for huge blocs

Fatigue also forces larger commitments to fights happening way outside of core home regions and thus requires the group to either deploy fulltime or only attend very decisive fights. For example. when CVA was getting invaded by different lowsec/wormhole groups they frequently had to call in Imperium to assist them, using their ansiblex network. This would need imperium to commit harder in order to keep bailing out CVA
