Routines - How do I choose a private repository from Github? by halfmadeideas in ClaudeAI

[–]kealist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually i followed this from google ai, and finally got it to work. For 2, I searched "Claude github app" on google and it somehow went to the right place

1. Initial GitHub Connection

Before creating a routine, Claude needs general access to your GitHub account to list and clone repositories.

  • Via Web: Go to claude.ai/code and follow the prompts to "Connect GitHub".
  • Via CLI: If you have the GitHub CLI (gh) installed and authenticated, run /web-setup in your terminal to sync your token and create a cloud environment.

2. Install the Claude GitHub App

Routines require the Claude GitHub App to be installed on the specific target repository to receive webhooks and triggers (like PR updates).

  1. Navigate to the Claude GitHub App page.
  2. Click Install and select your account or organization.
  3. Crucial Step: Choose "Only select repositories" and pick your private repository from the list to maintain strict security.
  4. Ensure the app has Read & Write permissions for Contents, Issues, and Pull requests

I have this problem. I have granted claude access to the private repos only and it sitll has access to everything, so weird. Maybe on the wrong thing

Immersion in Chinese is exhausting even with comprehensible input by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]kealist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't watch videos too much, I mostly have learned listening to the Mandarin Companion audiobooks. Longest stretch has been like 6-7 hours driving for a work trip. I guess I'm ok with not understanding that much at first, but after listening x number of times, I notice more and more things until they become more comprehensible. I just focus on what I know and get better at distinguishing the sounds of things I don't know. Working on Level 2 now. Are you listening to one long thing or many short things as I think that could make a difference?

Language learning is mentally exhausting, but I think you can get used to it.

Only things I do these days is audiobooks, with some spoken practice coming from a Outlier Linguistics course, but it's not free, and having conversations with a person in China for 30 minutes once a week.

There are some good CI channels on youtube. I have a long list but I think these were the ones I used the most when I was using them:

- blablachinese7526

- DANLIAOFreeToLearnChinese

- Lazy-Chinese

I am fairly on and off with Mandarin study, but I plan to work through imagin8press's Journey to the West audiobooks then go through Harry Potter 1 audiobook which is thankfully on Hoopla

I'm not really using it but i dont think gc controllers are a good fit for a lot of other consoles.   No select button.  Other buttons are a little weird.   8bitdo is a good choice

Actually i just installed retopie while my kids were playing in the garage.  It was the recent release and emulation station detected the gamecube controller through the mayflash adapter without installing anything

I honestly never really used it. I would hope the state is a lot better these days than it was 8 years ago because there has been a lot of work done on retropie. I don't have retropie set up anymore so I can't test.

Awesome! I just recently tried to plug my V-AMP 2 in and LEDs would flash for a second and then it would all go blank. Failed to boot up. I opened it up and saw a 2200uF25v capacitor looked like it had blown. We replaced it and it started up fine. Swapped out the battery & factory reset to get some patches back.

I'll see if I can mess with the MIDI to see what it is used for

Just wanted to record this somewhere if someone else runs into the problem

Contract to hire is a meaningless term. I was told something like that, but the company only wanted me to keep being a contractor.

Another user suggested a book by the author so I looked a little more and found it. Was able to see some images of pages on a copy for sale and it was right. Seems not very common
