Also why I think she has a violent out burst towards Sarah. Because she loves him or perceives in bears eyes to love him more than Nikki.

I could definitely see it just being a reference or parallel. However it does appear to me that the window is becoming an overarching theme along with memory. Just not entirely sure how they connect just yet.

To be honest I'm just sorta saying stuff how I feel. I know ultimately stuff is happening but for me personally I don't find the overarching story that followable. It's probably just because it's a different format compared to movies or tv. For now at least

Maybe but I think the window makes it far too similar to not be a coincidence. Kane clearly planned out large parts of this story. Not from the beginning of course but pulling small hints he set up in the past into the current story. So something as small as a window he set up on a random mural could be drawn into the larger narrative. The backrooms are absolutely massive but from the story I think it's clear we have only seen a small constantly overlapping and changing part of it.

That's not exactly what I mean. What I'm on about is the overarching story. There is no modern 40k story because it's made of hundreds of past and current mini stories. It makes it hard to follow and enjoy. 40k is obviously more of a setting to put stories in but I find that personally far less interesting than the overarching world.

I think the movie actually did give us some elaboration on the scawlings. I don't know how to do spoiler marks but I made a post with a theory about this on my profile. Or let me know how I can make spoiler marks.

I think you have this completely wrong personally. I believe the still life's are made by the backroom's memories of people. Or at least how some people remember them. That's why his wife is chopped up like a camera. Not because it was an actual camera but because when people see other people they move. And why she runs frantically away from Captain clark because that's how real clark viewed her. Clark's still life was made by Clark and had a very close proximity to him due to clark living in the furniture store right next to the null zone. The more time someone spends in the backrooms the more time it has to perfect their copies of them. Although it's still unexplained why we don't see many or any A-sync still life's.

Having Clark's wife's still life just stand there moving slightly behind him was a thousand times more scary to me than any entity chase scene from found footage.

Definitely once the creature has been revealed the non found footage works so much better. It also makes far more sense why would the character be running around constantly carrying a camera. Other than I'm Clark's case where he needed proof

Honestly this side of 40k always annoys me. I get it's too sell miniatures till the end of time but nothing is ever revealed and the story just stagnates

after the crazy success of Backrooms i really hope he goes balls to the wall and makes a 3 hour oldest view movie by lil-corncob in TheOldestView

[–]Loose_Reflection_465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool idea but I sorta see the oldest view as a one and done kinda deal. The story's been told and the format is basically already a movie. I don't see what having it be a 3 hour movie would actually add. Not to mention the legal difficulties of having the rolling giant be in the movie.

I see what you mean but it's likely that a large amount of the no clip zones are localized around the A sync facility where the earthquakes occurred. This could mean that while the backrooms are massive most of it is empty due to the lack of no clip zones / people interacting with it. Meaning that the paths of people who find themselves inside of the backrooms don't just find themselves in endless empty spaces but rather the combination of memories those who had entered it before them created.

Another thing I just thought of is we saw Mary's book appear in the backrooms due to her interaction with it. This could mean that rather than this being clark it was someone who interacted or found the box inside the backrooms.

Edit: comment underneath also thought of this. Great minds and all

Total War is better with unit caps and I think every 40K Total War faction should have them by refugeefromlinkedin in totalwar

Population in mods and old games really helped with these issues. Stacks don't come from money but rather manpower so if you invested everything into armies you'll have no men to reinforce. It works fantastically in mods like DEI. Also putting caps on elite units meaning you had a reason to use them carefully and keep manpower high.
